Just think how annoying it is for the people thinking they are getting a tank and they get you instead. If you are DPS queue as DPS.
Just think how annoying it is to que as a tank just for the DPS to be trash, and when you que as a tank but your ready DPS but have to carry the trash dps. So next time don't que as a trash dps. That can also be said. Judt because you Que as a DPS does not make you a good DPS.
Big difference in not being good but at least trying the role you queued for and fake queuing as a role you have zero intention to do. You know you are wrong and you are trying to deflect your bad behavior away with a lame excuse.
Not wrong at all. If you can't run through wayrest with 3 dps and a healer then honestly you have no business being in a dungeon. Hell I have even ran vet dungeons the same way some times it's required. Its called being experienced!
Do you even believe what you write? "If you can't play like a pro, don't play at all"? How do you think people learn? And incidentally, I would so love to see your first time in a group dungeon...
You are using a tool to find random people to help you. If you don't need help, don't inflict yourself on others. Everything you've posted so far makes you look like an insufferable person.
Yeah I do as someone who started off as a TANK first before anything else. And had to legit leave many groups because of TRASH dps or heals. I'm speaking on actual facts! Literally everyone I have que as a "Fake Tank" we have ran through dungeons with no issue. Do you wonder why you're dps tested? Because when playing trials or vet dungeons you want to get through it easier. When you have to tank and deal with people who THINK they have good DPS it's annoying!I rather blow through the dungeon as a fake tank and guess what? If the dps die on a normal dungeon they weren't good enough. They should be able to destroy any trash mobs or even a boss with no problem. I fake tanked DOM and we beat the very first boss with no problem. So I'm not talking out of my neck. If we're penalizing fake tanks on the forums. Then fake DPS needs to be called out first if anything!!
All you are doing is trying to justify your bad behavior. Sure sometimes you get a good group and can blaze content. Sometimes you do not. That is not an excuse to pick a fake role. Players learning the game or working out a new rotation need you to play the role you queued.
You are cutting in front of other DPS by choosing a fake role having a negative impact on your group and the DPS still stuck in queue because of your pure selfishness.
If you don't want to help other players and only want easy runs quit using the group finder. Quit blaming the game and others for your poor actions.

I'm using the group activity because it is accessible to me PERIOD! Your response is invalid.
I avoid dungeons because of people like you.
What OP is complaining about is normal for MMORPGs as DPS are a dime a dozen when it comes to 4 man content but in greater need for the raid content.
Considering in ESO we can tank, heal and DPS all on the same character very easily we can all solve the issue of tanks not wanting to queue up for random groups by having an alt build for our character to tank. It really is that simple. I can tank or heal on every DPS character I have and on some I can do all 3.
Further, when I tank on a DPS character I do so by only changing gear and skills. I do not have to worry about the CP and have tanked many vet dungeons without issue. It really is that easy.
The other solution is to not rely on a computer to organize your play time in game. Form your own group or at least part of it including getting the tank, then queue. It is so easy to do as long as you are in a decent guild, even from zone works well as groups form like this every day.
I hope this helps. I just takes a little effort and it goes swimmingly well.
Funny thing is when I made this post all those who made a complaint never assumed that I equipped tanking gear just because I said a dps does not mean I never swapped out gear. But you can't tell those who are mad about " fAkE tAnKs" to understand.

Not bad behavior if everyone in the group isn't bothered by it at all.

People queuing as tanks without taunts and enough hp/resistances should only be paired with healers with no healing skills and dds who only light attack. If you don't like the long queues, go make a tank/healer. Don't force your preconception of what the group should look like on the 3 strangers who are stuck with you just as much as you with them, and who may or may not be experienced players, and who may or may not enjoy rushing through dungeons, because that's basically how a random group finder works.
lol that would be pretty great.
If only there was a way to program that.

Yup, they're useless right up until the point a squishy dps gets punched to oblivion. Then all of a sudden people are crying out for a big beefy tank, to protect them, and keep them safe.
There is only one solution, kick the fake tank, put him in your ignore list for at least 6 months, then remove him from the ignore list and maybe after this period, even the more stubborn as this 1 above, will learn something
I hope the new improvements fix people from having to que up as a tank even when they're not to find a que. I find it hella annoying that I have to do this as a dps because the que won't find me a group when my role is set as a dps
“l33t” dps punks really are entitled snowflake divas. (especially the ones who think they are “l33t” because they can mash buttons on a dummy who cant fight back just to pad an arbitrary number so they can stroke that e-peen.)
i almost always play tank, sometimes i go healer and just remember: you dps punks need US wayyyyyy more than we need YOU.
so next time, just be nice.
SPOILER-
the game does NOT revolve around dps punks.
Dps punks? Lol I main tank before anything! I have left more normal and vet dungeons because of trash healers and dps.
