List of things that a SINGLE PET, one small pet, friendly or enemy, in front of your camera prevents you from doing:
- Interacting with crafting stations
- Talking to NPCs
- Delivering quests
- Using chests
- Looting bodies
- Reading books
- Using single target abilities (including taunt!)
- Bashing
With the Necro, this has gotten 10x worse. The Colossus blocks the whole view from a tank, my own Spirit Guardian sometimes prevents me from taunting an enemy... If you have a couple of PetSorcs, a Warden and a few Necros in your party, you might spend most of the fight readjusting your camera to avoid being blocked.
The Great Atronach can be cast ON TOP of bosses which completely prevent taunts if the boss has a small hitbox and does not move. I just had a PUG run in EH I with 3 Sorcs using that ulti and they kept casting it on top of boss. I could barely taunt it for most of the fight.
But the worst offender is the Matriarch... She is usually in the camera level so if you have 2 MagSorcs in group with them, you constantly need to readjust camera to be able to do the stuff I listed.
They said they will bring a bunch of Quality of Life improvements to next patch. Please take a look at targeting.

Pets and other summoned monsters obstructing your targeting is pretty annoying. They can also make it difficult to watch for moves you need to block. I can't stand that giant walking alligator when I am tanking. It seems like that thing purposely gets in my way just to screw with me. The Atronach thing you mention is bad about it as well.
All of this can be annoying in PvP as well.
So It would be nice if the developers could pay some attention to this. So I'm with you.
In combat is one thing and there is an issue there.
The out of combat issues are pretty petty and I say that as someone who has been in game since launch. I rarely come across an issue where pets block me from interacting with a crafting station or vendor or other items and when I do it often is rectified by taking one step one way or another. It does seem that some people blow this way out of proportion.

The warden's bear and flappy wings of the Matriarch get in the way of looting corpses and chests all the time. What's more is that the bear wants to stand exactly where my character is standing, so that my character is basically standing inside the bear, and can easily block something right next to it.

WoW, so the few seconds the sorc is looting the corps is that big of a deal? Are you not able to take a step to the left or right when the bear is standing where you are?
My comment is very accurate with over 5 years in the game and probably over 40 hours per week average. Either you are very unlucky or are exaggerating how big of an issue this is for you.
Edit: I remember periods when pet sorcs were very strong and it was common to see 4 or more pet sorcs I none raid group. I never recall a problem looting a corps and I do a lot of raiding so there was much opportunity.

About the crafting thing, just go to your guildhall to finish your decons, research, writs, etc, etc....
It will save you any aggravation if it is that much of a hassle to you.
Zos shouldn't even bother with these drama threads when the OP hasn't even done the bare minimum. I bet they will now say, "I did do all that...."
