    I disagree.

Whilst the quests and story are fantastic it lacks everything else which makes a good single player experience as all the other mechanics were designed to be part of an MMO.

If you could give me all of the locations, stories and quest with the Skyrim system I would be all for it, but a single player game with MMO mechanics just isn't immersive for me.

not really. the quests are rather shallow and choices mean little. if you'd rather play an rpg, then just play an rpg.

    also, your poll sucks.

I agree. The game is clearly designed as an MMORPG and would require much work to make it into a solo game. It is a bad idea to try to appease both markets with one game as it just ends up being half ass all around.

Edit: I did not reply to the poll because there is not a true NO choice. Poorly written poll but OP seems to like it that way.

in general yes, e.g. I play solo player most of the time.

But also benefit from multiplayer, not by PVP, but by meeting other people with similar interests like building houses.

Taking in account the huge amount of solo player quests, SESO (solo ESO) would offer more gameplay than skyrim, on the other hand lot of content looks outdated in the older regions. Would require quite some facelifting and tweaks to remove the multiplayer stuff completely, so I think projects from scratch like ES6 are the better solution.

Why do you always make biased polls?

If you want to play solo and offline, don't play an MMO.

I have long called for a nerf to the creation of polls. But no, people prefer nerfs be saved for the skills that kill them in PvP.

I have a CP 900+ account and have barely touched anything multi player. I am getting closer to where I am going to be starting more group dungeons, and have even found a guild to join, but it might still be a month or two before I really start doing anything involving other people. I understand why you say it would be awesome as a single player experience, but in all reality there is enough content that can be played single player, that someone like me can play the game for three years and barely touch anything that involves other players.

The game is already great. What would make it truly great in my mind is the utter elimination of all the predatory microtransactions which are the main thing dragging this game through the mud and down some toilets. A single-player game format supports the elimination of such things better than an online game for a variety of reasons.

That, and it sure as blazes would be nice to do questing and story without seeing a million bots running all around the starter zones... :#

The only way I can see this being useful is it the offline mode were like a PTS without the S, where all gear was available, free upgrading, etc, just to test things out or when the server is down.

Why don't you just play a much better single player RPG instead? There are dozens of fantastic single player RPGs out there (including the mainline TES games).

ESO is good for an MMO. It's not good compared to AAA single player RPGs.

I've decided to phrase my answer in the form of a poll.

    My potential answers:

    1 Disagree
    2 Strongly Disagree
    3 Somewhat Disagree
4 Players should require 10* rank in order to create polls

I think the reason they developed a multi-player game, so many people begged for an online-multi playing game after Skyrim but now they throw crap on it...

    So very much this!

Sure, a single player TES game is neat... but then it needs a single-player system for it. We'll get that in time, no worries. Someday TES-VI was already announced, to be released... sometime after they finish "Starfield" over at Bethesda. And if I haven't had some terrible accident of something equally lethal/crippling, I'll eagerly play the oblivion out of that one like most everyone else here I reckon!

But a MMORPG... needs the multiplayer part to mesh with the multiplayer-y designed mechanics. Be it having overspecialized character builds of the tank/DD/heals flavor to encourage working together or PvP zones for players to compare how big neach others PvPness is, or lots of roleplaying support so people can go wild with customizing their looks to make a good RP impression (which is the -true- endgame... Elder Fashions Online!)...

To be quite honest, this is a lazy and dumb poll. This game is a MMO. As others have said, if you want to play RPG, then go play RPG games. There are many good titles out there.
