What would be even better is a way to get monster sets as weapon sets. I'd love to get a Zaan inferno staff and run 5pc mothers sorrow, 5pc perfected false god.

Well this takes away from the players who do vet hard mode for the increased chance of the helmet style page that's on offer each month with the arms pack.

This round its Velidreth in Cradle of Shadows. Got lucky and it dropped for me Monday. :D Many dropped from RoM last round for guildies, so I missed that one.

Would prefer a way to the the weapon style pages in game rather than crown store.

I think the thing people are getting hung up on here is the "monster helm" part instead of thinking of it as a 2pc craftable set which has head and shoulders only.

I wouldn't advocate for any existing monster set being craftable, but why not some other, new 2pc set? have 1 per zone? "auridon" monster set, 1pc max magicka, 2pc some suitable effect".

maybe require a crafting mat that drops from auridon world bosses?

It would be a nice expansion of the crafting system and allow people who don't want to do vet dungeons / undaunted pledges to have a path to a 5/5/2 build.

To not take away from the current sets the crafted ones would have to have lower/less bonuses.

I think this is a good idea .

But it will be related to new abilities crafting .

One more crafting skill line , 9 traits as usual .

    Worth a try I guess .

That was my initial thought, but then I remembered most end game builds are running mother's sorrow. Why does it matter where an item comes from?
Some monster helms are trash already but people will run the dungeon for pledges or not anyway.

Getting a vet clear of any dungeon for a helm drop is pretty easy, it's not like you need to do the hard mode.
Some helms, like Kra'gh is hilariously easy.

Mother's Sorrow doesn't compete with the monster sets. I agree getting a clear isn't that hard. RNG is though and getting the weight and trait you want can be an adventure sometimes. Transmute crystals made that adventure not quite so long but being able to craft a monster helm would wipe that whole dynamic right out.

Craft, no. The ability to sell them would be nice. If they are so easy to get through dungeons and the golden, why not be able to sell them?

I do like the 2pc craftable set idea though.

You say that but at the current status we're not even using them and even at that 85% of the Helms don't get used at all
I say junk the Helms give us two piece craftables but let us learn to craft in Dungeon styles I don't care for the abilities but the styles of some of the Helms are pretty cool

if you need to get the helm to research the trait to craft it, why not just use it? it would much easier just to get it the normal way than what you are suggesting

Today i thought about this quite a time. Will it be better if we can craft monster sets ? Only heads maybe.
The system goes like this, when a player completed veteran dungeon that character gains the ability of crafting dungeon's monster helm. This might be achived via completing hard mode or some higher achivments like no death challanges. After that you need to learn traits of that monster set. But you can only research the trait by using that monster set. After some specific number of traits learned you can create the helm. For example to create blood spawn you need to learn 4 traits but for sellistrix you need 5 etc. etc.
I thought it will be fun and challenging for end game players also selling these helms will help new players and grants money to crafter.
What's your thoughts on this ? (System can be changed or redesigned).

No the idea of the helmets is to get people to do the dungeons and for many players those are easy enough to do. For the rest of us there is the golden vendor.

If they became craft-able/even locked behind specific conditions to unlock being craft-able, they would likely be up on guild stores for a fortune for awhile till the market gets flooded and every player with a bit of gold or the ability to make some, will be running around with the DLC helmets without ever setting foot in the Vet DLC dungeons the helmets drop in.

And I don't deny I would be one of those who would happily part with some gold for some of the harder to get helmets.

I can afford to buy a carry as it(stopped counting once my hoard got past 13mill) is but have been avoiding that option, partly because I am stingy and partly because I want to earn my helmets at some point.

Hell once I realized how easy most of the base game Vet dungeons were I stopped bothering with the golden vendor for the most part, again because I am cheap, rather a free helmet than pay 100K.

For PVE it would not be a big issue if the helmets were more wide spread, once hard to get helmets start appearing on mass in PVP however the calls for them to get nerfed into the ground will get more vocal.

Oh I like that idea, very cool! It provides an added incentive possibly to be a high level crafter which honestly it does not seem like much point most days.
Celebrate for life is short but sweet for certain.
