What is ZOS doing to make lag worse and worse

Yes i live in australia, and before you say "its because you live in australia" please just dont ahahah
12 months ago my ping would sit at 220, didnt feel as much lag, life was good

this ping is consistent now, and im not the only one, every other australian i know has the same ping, so what are you guys doing to cause the lag to sit so high, is there anything you guys can tell us about it, is it being looked into? @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

    I don’t think it’s what ZOS is doing, I think it’s what blizzard & everyone else is doing...aka...dying.

    ZOS is in a sweet spot where all other games just suck/boredom & so we have an over abundance of players.

    Performance in TESO is an all-time low for me compared to other games i play and played with the same connexion

    i just dont think thats the issue, population has gone down from what it use to be, not as many people in cyrodiil, nor doing group pve content
    so you mean to tell us that all these wow players that quit to play eso... decided to only do solo content
    it was far easier to find dungeons and raids in the past, sure eso is still a big game, still doubt the performance issues are simply because of new players

    Agree. On launch there were way more players active.
    Yeah, the might have 11 million players now. But that's 11 million created accounts, not active players, divided on 3 platforms.

    The lag gets worse each patch/major expansions. I don't think each patch/update comes with new players.

    A better question would be "what is ZOS not doing that makes lag worse and worse": fixing/maintaining/expanding their server infrastructure...

    Every periodic "maintenance" patch makes the lag even worse than before. Logic????? :trollface:

    Active player population is decreasing, they remove unnecessary infrastructure to keep the trend :D

    Every patch brings back some players to try out the changes, while the big ones bring back a lot of them, plus some new players that are attracted to new zones. Performance should improve a little as they get bored and leave again.

    I’m honestly shocked they responded. The fact that they would even consider taking a modicum of responsibility for it means they might be able to do something?
