I got my flawless on my sorc this patch so Maelstrom will be fine.
PVE is not really an issue for sorc nor has it ever been from my experiance.
PVP on the otherhand I've felt worthless except for on a glass cannon overload build which they decided oH yEaH lEtS nErF iT 25% BeCaUsE UlTiMatEs sHoUlDn'T kIlL PeOPle!111
Been playing more Overwatch where the game actually feels reasonable and fair. Oh and Ultimates kill people. A well placed one can wipe a whole team. Which is completely fine! They should be decisive gameplay elements.
Now I've been spending the past few days trying to find a build that can stand up to literally any other class anymore. Not much luck, Since LITERALLY EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN USING FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS HAD TO BE MESSED WITH.

A lot of player were asking for a Sorcerer healing skills. I think ZOS made 2 mistakes by doing it :
At first, Power Surge Proc on critical heal + damage with no People limit each second. So they change it : proc only on critical heal (good change in my opinion), cooldown of 3 seconds and reduce it to hit 6 People, if ZOS want this spell to be use in trials, they have to chose between the cd nerf or the 6 People, but the 2 nerfs together make the spell useless (in my opinion ! Didnt tested it yet !)
Second mistake, so now that power surge is change what does Magsork get for self heal (usefull in vMA for example), so you have to play critical surge, BUT critical surge doesnt give you Major Sorcery, so it force you to play with Degeneration to get the buff...
So you have to choose : or you play with power surge + Entropy to get heal and then can proc power surge every 3 sec,
or
you play with Degeneration + Critical Surge
I think the second option is better for self heal in solo content, if anyone tried it ? I also dont Know if the healing from Power Surge/Critical Surge is scaling with spell damage + max mag/weapon damage + max stam, or is it a flat value ?

Please explain:
'Surge IV' [unmorphed] increases weapon damage by 20% for 33 seconds. Dealing a critical strike (weapon?) heals you for 2550 health.
What stat are you on about, buddy?
Are you also saying that a 'Structured Entropy' heal can be critical, so proccing 'Power Surge' heals, and these stack? And can anybody confirm this, please?
