Passives Not Working After Death

Currently I can 100% tell you the passives that increase sneak speed do not work any longer after you die, the only way to get them to work is to log out and back on. Dark Stalker and the passive from Concealed Weapon both no longer work once you die.

    Dark stalker should work only at night. Be sure to check it.
    Concealed weapon should work when you enter stealth (not crouch, i think)

    Actually, Dark Stalkers movement increase is at all times of the day. The thing that only works at night is how fast you enter stealth.

    When you die however, both things stop working, and they start working again after you relog or zone.

    We need more awareness for these issues, because this is probably something that affects a large number a passive buffs.

    - Athletics (Medium armor)
    - Dark Stalker (Vampire)
    - Conceiled Weapon (Nightblade)

    These are just some passive buffs that are affected by this bug and these come from three different skill lines. I can only imagine there is an underlying bug causing this and that would mean there will be alot more passive buffs that break on player death that have largely gone unnoticed so far.

    all vampire and Nightblade passives and most abilities are broken.
    There's a fair few threads like this already.
    It's disheartening :(

    yeah...mad a topic about the same issue a few days ago...seems like no one cares

    You can add "Killer Blade" too...after death the 15% health restore wont trigger for a while...could not find out how this bug triggers, jsut noticed it shortly after death and respawn

    Yep, which is kind of strange, because most character builds rely on important passive buffs being active. But if over half of those passives aren't working correctly, then how can you play your character properly? Should be a top priority to fix!

    Top priority at the moment seems to be the bank bug, the goldsellers, and bots. Which kinda makes sense. Those are issues that can't be overlooked.

    This gonna be an issue when doing Craglorn... you die and guesss what you have to log off to fix your passives >.> gonna waste a lot of time in the trials :(

    Yep, Craglorn is going to be just like Cyrodiil. Relogging all the time just to keep your passives working.

    They fixed the bank bug though, so hopefully they will now move on to fix this. :)

    Still broken in v1.05. Have to relog everytime I die to keep my passive buffs working.

    This is still an issue, and after extensive testing; this bug effects ALL passives not just stealth speed. The only one you will notice without testing is the stealth speed. This means that after EVERY death in PvP you must relog. This is a game breaking bug that should be #1 on the 'to fix list' as a character's passives.

    To clarify, every time you die (even if you're revived) ALL of you character's passives stop working. This also occurs intermittently when teleporting from keep to keep (i.e. using the transport shrine).

    We love the game; however, this bug is a huge issue for the hardcore PvP community and is making my guild and myself question the $15 subscription fee.

    As a player of a NB/Vamp I want to add my support to this thread, Passives stop working after any death, PvP or PvE and do not start working until you either relog or zone to another area. Using the towers to zone within an area will not fix this issue.
    I will still look across the lands from my perch at Arrius, Nerf or no I will still be the Night. I may not be the hero Ebonheart Pact wanted but I will be the hero Ebonheart pact deserves.

    Uh, it's very noticeable for everything to me. When my light armor passives stop working I'm constantly out of magicka. I always realize it within a few minutes.

    The vampire sneak is the first thing I notice which makes me realise that everything is broken and I need to relog.

    I hear ya brother... I just wanted to ensure they knew it was all passives, as most players would only notice (and therefore only complain about) the stealth speed.

    Ive been posting this issue for at least 2 weeks now.... gets frustrating that everytime I die I must relog, only to get stuck in an infinite load screen. It seems crazy to nerf vamps before we are actually working, and being a nb/vamp your whole toon isnt working properly

    In my experience, dying as a vampire disables all vampire passives and requires me to re-log for them to reset. This is particularly annoying because the racial passives that severely lower health regen and fire resist remain active while the passives for damage mitigation and increased stamina and magicka regen disappear.

    Many passives haven't worked properly since launch. ZoS is fully aware of it.

    They're too busy with new content instead of fixing the old content.

    Oh oh, OP. You make them fix the only benefit (bug) of the vampire race :)

    Those passives should work only during night time. But if you relog after each death, you will be having all night passives 24/

    Anyway, I am pretty sure they will nerf this instead of fixing classes.

    All TESO descriptions are sneaky, you never know how things work for real. Some passives are not mentioned anywhere at all :)

    But I think that skill meant to work at night only.

    It works until you die and then the passive stops working, along with every other passive in the skill line. Doesn't matter if it's day or night.

    Currently, when it's working, it works at all hours. It stops working on occasion with fast travel, but death kills it and all other passives every time.

    So, whether it should be working at a particular time or not, it's still badly bugged and in need of a fix. Splitting hairs about when it's supposed to work is irrelevant, the skill line is broken regardless of what time it is in the game.

    K, if multiple people are noticing this, then it must not be an isolated thing, however, if all passives broke, how come my NB still runs like the wind when I sprint with the medium armor speed passive after I die?

    Same here. I agree this seems like a common enough issue, but I haven't ran into it with my nightblades (I have 3 of them). I have a med armor nb using shadow/assassin, a med armor nb using bow and siphon, and a light armor using resto staff and siphon. Also it's notable that the build they featured (dark knight or whatever) was a heavy armor nb.

    Edit: Just for posterity I wanted to note each of my nightblades are in each of the three alliances

    You missed my previous post, I know this since beta and I am reloging before every trip to enemy place :)

    Note* I am pretty sure only Vampire Passives are disabled after death, nothing wrong with any other passive.

    There are many more bugs that I know exist 100% on vampire line.

    For example, some of the passives wont work unless you cancel all your skills and re-learn them again on your current level, for example on VR10 I had to cancel and learn same skills to make some passives work correctly. I am afraid some NB/Armor/Weapon passives might have this problem too, so its always better to re-learn your skills on VR10 and see how different are your stats* with exactly same skills learned.

    *For example Health Regen and etc.

    This makes a world of difference. It gives us hope. It makes us feel like someone gives a damn. Do it more often please. Of course it goes without saying that it can't just be lip service... eventually it will need to be fixed but, in the meantime, it helps to have the reassurance.
