I've spent $0 on crown crates. I've spent nearly 20,000,000 gold on them though so I guess someone spends the money at some point in that chain.

Nothing. The gem trade in rates are a pittance and I just got stupid potions and very few actual items. If each crate had a promised trade in of like 10 gems so I could know I need x crates to get a mount or costume? Maybe I'd buy crates and play. But it is just always nothing but bitter disappointment opening those damn gamble boxes so why bother?

I wouldnt pay a single cent for this game until is playable again. And... in random crates? Lol i would maybe pay for not having to write "destroy" for destroying the stupid things you get there when are free

I buy 5 crates on each account on sub renewal, so with "free crowns". Sometimes I will even buy 5 for my accounts on EU server, as they don't have as much fun stuff yet.

I generally get several pets, a mount or so, costumes, cosmetics, and enough gems to buy another couple of pets or a 100 gem mount. I'm very lucky with crates, so I'll keep buying them. Not to mention that I have disposable income, and the only thing I use it on is my fun - which right now is this game.

None. Ever. The only crown store gear I have is stuff given out when free during the period when they used to do that. RNG boxes for real money are bull pocky as far as I'm concerned, and one of the lowest points of this game also, again, as far as I'm concerned.

Not a cent, the only crates I open are the free ones they rarely give out.

They wan't me to buy something put it up for crowns, not going to waste my money to get gems for stuff.

I had about 8k crowns saved up from my sub. Spent about 4k of them on 15 crates just to get the bone dragon, a mask and the white cat. Got the mask four times, got the cat, got a panther which was nice but not the dragon. Luckily, i had enough gems from all the other stuff that dropped and just managed to get 100 for the bone dragon so it was worth it in the end. Missed out on it before but now that necromancer is out i took the opportunity and i never take it off. Such a great pet. Some of the new mounts in the upcoming moon crates look cool. I want the horse with red eyes so i will probably spend some more crowns on them. I have never purchased them exclusively with real money but i don't pay for a sub for crowns any way so for me it's like a really nice bonus.

Nothing. Since crown store gifting became a thing I have never again bought crowns. Much rather spend weeks/months amassing something that has no worth (gold) to trade for something that would otherwise require me to use real currency (which I can't spare) to obtain.

In fact I've been saving gold for the New Moon crates because I quite like the items in that season.

    Hard to say, exactly.

I just got 2 sets of 15 Crown Crates, to get the Baandari Senche apex mount.

I had bought some Crowns in the last sale, so some of it came from that and some from my ESO+ renewal.

Then, most of the rest of my ESO+ Crowns went on the new Meadow.

Had 78 gems already and managed to get the rest of the 400 I needed from the 30 crates.

    Also, won the Guar Apex.

I don't normally go for Apex mounts (I normally prefer simpler ones), but I like the design of these (although, I wish holding the compass was optional).

If I start to feel any urge to buy a Crown crate, I'll uninstall the game and never play it again. Not even joking.

You can trade everything you get in for gems.

Zero. I don't have any objection to crates for those who like them but they are absolutely not for me. I will never spend real money on a mystery box of any sort. Ever. If I don't know exactly what I'm buying, it is no sale.

I buy plenty of items from the Crown store and there are plenty of crate items I would happily buy as a straight up purchase - but never when hidden in mystery crates.

I would consider buying crown crates if I could sell (either for gems or to other players) anything I don’t want instead of being stuck with a collection unlock I’ll never use. I don’t spend much on RNG but would consider spending some if I at least had a good chance of getting gems or gold which a I could use for something I do want.

I enjoy buying things that I want, not a small chance of getting something I want disappointment.

I buy some crates every once in a while. I have no expectations about what I am going get.

I I want something, I buy it with Gems.

If I really want something (like an Apex mount) 15 Crown Crates are my limit. Beyond that, I just stop caring because it becomes a huge waste.

The problem is that buying 15 Crates (or fewer) is, normally, far more of a waste of money (proportionately) than buying more.

It's designed to return far more gems the more Crates, of a certain season, you buy.

So, buying your first 15 might only return you 70 gems, but buying your second 15 might return you 250 and so on.

Obviously, if you have ESO+ and you don't mind waiting a year, or whatever, for the season to roll around again, that is probably the most cash effective way of doing it.

However, not many people will have that amount of patience.

I do not buy crown crates. And it really ticks me off that many of the things I would really like to have cost crown gems.

Dear ZOS, So you expect me to buy 5000 crates, get nothing good, and convert the garbage I do get into gems to purchase decent items? Nope. I really wanted that Bandaari Pedlar senche cub pet but I'm not buying $500 worth of crown crates to get it. You can keep the pet. I have plenty of others.

I would have purchased crowns to buy it, but I'm not playing the crate RNG/gem game. You effectively lost my money by charging crown gems for it.

As others have said above, lose the crown crates and just let me buy the things I want.
