I was not expecting this to get a resurgence but it's safe to say a large fracking chunk would not or more specifically will not spend real money on it. I will say that i've come across some interesting responses and some interesting ways to say hell no. Does make me curious about a few things though.

I spend a lot of money on crowns/crates until I've gotten everything unlocked except the apex rewards. I always end up doing it. Money isn't a big issue to me so I do it out of boredom. I should probably start donating the money to a charity or something instead.

I must admit, the drop rate is now os extraordinarily low for anything worth having, I have almost given up. I bought about 60 crates in the last set - mostly because I had the crowns to spare (following a sale plus subs). I ended up with a whole load of junk. One or two nice things, sure, but more duplicates than I could count which of course just meant a massive stock-pile of gems that I can't spend because I can't buy Radiant Apex mounts.

To be honest, I think ZoS needs to significantly adjust the drop rates. More and more people will just stop buying them if all that's available is junk.
All that is gold does not glitter; not all those who wander are lost...... some of us are just looking for trouble.

Funny at the begining I was like, If I buy a game around 10-20 EUR (never at launch) then noway that I would spend more then 5 EUR total on cosmetics. Now after I'm in ESO for 3 years and have an okeyish salary (my currency is not strong sadly) I also compare spendings with other entertainments, like going to do cinema. So with that in mind for a specific Apex I would say 10 EUR if it really catches my interest maybe 15 EUR.

A pack of 15 is mostly enough for me. Then again, I don't really care for the Mounts (except the lizard ones for my Argonians... Lizard Senche looks kinda adorable...) But I'm mostly after the emotes and sometimes mementos... which are usually not that many gems, so it's enough :p

Edit: It's a shame that our characters are stupid enough that they can't learn an emote any other way. For example, the Khajiit themed ones could've been learned on a Quest with the Adepts in Elsweyr or something. Now that would've been cool!
