When people make Post in regards to nerfing another class that they may or may not play in order to make a class they do play more enjoyable should they be banned 4 harmful acts towards other classes

Yeah but when the players are viciously attacking a different class as well as supporting it with fictitious tooltips as we seen with Vigor this patch it misleads the development team as what is really needed with in the game to make it right for everyone1 -

I find that any player who asks for a Nerf to another class to try to understand their own class has no concept of a game to begin with and should just delete it because the way you would go about it is ask for your class to be buffed in a measure that helps you counter whatever you find the other class has that you cannot seem to get around0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I find that patiently explain the Learn2Play response that would help then is a lot more effective in terms of convincing the Devs your class doesnt actually need to be nerfed. Plus, it helps players who were dealing with that same problem to L2Play, making then less likely to ask for nerfs.
Because your suggestion only works if 100% of "nerf this class" threads are unjustified.
Just because you think they are 100% unjustified doesn't make it so. This is a forum. You think its a L2Play issue, then say so, and for best effect, explain and prove it.
Otherwise, this is just "ban anyone who disagrees with me" under another guise.
Example: I'm following what's essentially a "Nerf templar" thread over the new Eclipse because I'm hoping to glean some L2Play tips.1 -

If they have a valid point in their post with some basic evidence, not expecting to see graphs and pie charts on the forums. Then they have a right to be heard, sharing view points is the reason a forum exists not just conforming to one view point.
If they are going for example: Sorc should be nerfed because they hate the Sorc class and just go off on a rant filled with censored words and no evidence, then the discussion should be closed as a waste of everyone's time.

IMO, nerf seekers should have their own game developed for them, because virtually all of these requests come from the PvP side of the game. Leave the rest of ESO alone and go have your own game where the endless complaining about "but I died to such and such" wrecks the structure of the game.0 -

Of course they come from the PVP side of things.
PVEers are generally happy to have stronger teammates, except for the ones dedicated to a particular class who's currently being excluded from trial slota by the meta, because that make PVE content easier. Outside of competing for BIS or chasing leaderboard positions, PVEers very rarely compete which each other, so its not a problem for PVE players if one class is stronger than the others.
PvPers, on the other hand, compete on a daily basis. For them, one class being stronger isnt a benefit.
In other words, both PVE and PVP benefit from an even playing field...but PVEers are less likely to care when one class is outperforming the others because that makes their PVE content easier. And there's something to be said about multiple threads asking for the same thing. Sometimes nerfs are necessary.1 -
buttaface✭✭✭✭✭yesNot exactly the topic, but players who submit "set up" or "perfect storm" death recaps, set up or doctored (photoshop or other) screenshots, or other phony or inflated "evidence" that something is OP to further a nerf campaign in a video game are weak, silly human beings. This kind of thing goes on more and more in games I've played over the years, and if it could be proven, it should be a perma ban. No way to prove it though.
My hunch is that lots of this goes on in this game. Just take off armor, don't buff, get debuffed, walk into whatever you want nerfed and then collect up recaps until you get a good one to post on forums. For this reason, no recaps should -ever- be considered evidence of anything, and if you think that's a lot of trouble to go to in a video game, just launch youtube and look at all the "Star Trek Navigation Panel" combat add-ons (and macros in the background) that are completely immersion-spoiling people use.0 -
