Haha! That cracked me up, this one misses Saturday morning cartoons!

Which bit is pathetic?
Also I'm watching these classic WoW streams and amazed at how buttery smooth the performance is. It's a very old game and ESO is prettier but it doesn't crash to login screen or send people into infinite loading screens or have obvious bugs as people are leveling to 60. I'm tempted to try WoW since a good number of my ESO friends jumped on the WoW hype train today.

Even the retail (current) version with updated graphics and animations runs 10x better than ESO. I didn't know what to do with myself with 200+ fps and 35ms ping

Even the updated version is still running on the same ancient engine as the original. That's like saying CS 1.6 runs great on your system. Well of course it does, it was designed to run on computers from 1999.
Server load is also much easier to manage on an older game when you're running it on modern servers.
ESO's performance needs to be compared against more demanding games, i.e. GW2, FFXIV, BDO, etc.

It's a relaunch of the biggest MMO to ever happen, of course it's going to dominate Twitch, even social media will be flooded for weeks.
ESO does well with streaming and content creation on YouTube, I think the numbers will settle down and be closer again once the rush of the launch wares off.
Ah, I thought from the picture they looked close. Unless I am suffering learn to read issues as I don't really follow Twitch much. It's a relaunch of the biggest MMO to ever happen, of course it's going to dominate Twitch, even social media will be flooded for weeks.

I don't think ESO has ever been close to viewer numbers compared to WoW on Twitch. I'm guessing that's because WoW has been there since the early days.

And though I am a console pleb, and so never played WOW, from what I have seen if it, it looks ridiculously childish & cartoony - was surprised by that. And having read many posts about it on these forums, even if I had a pc, I would not play it. And I don’t harbour the desire to turn this game into its clone.
Do agree with people here who point out comparing apples & oranges. As long as it is popular and has a decent player base that makes it profitable, why does it have to be as big as WOW?

I'd imagine WoW would blow most other MMO games out of the water on views though just because the fact it's WoW.
I very much doubt we will. Zenimax/Bethesda really don't like giving out secrets like they, they seem to prefer the method of stating milestones or gains as it has a better PR/Marketing sound to it.I hope that one day we'll get some confirmed player / subscriber numbers from both developers because that's where I think the games are a little bit closer.

It better be buttery smooth. Those graphics are over 15 years old and were designed to run on ancient Intel IGPs.
I never understood watching a game when you could be playing it.
