I've always loved Mourhold the most. I like Elden Root too but I hate having to upstairs for all my crafting needs.

Elden Root isn't just convenient, it's beautiful.

For stealing I like Balmora and the Brass Fortress. Both lucrative and nice to visit.

Hollow City for weekly grocery shopping.

    Rimmen for sightseeing and music.

Lol, resurrecting a 5 year old thread and most of the replies since then are cities that didn't even exist in the game at that time.

I stand by my responses from 5 years ago though, Rawl'kha for practicality, Riften and Daggerfall for their appearance. The Summerset cities are really nice though, Alinor and Shimmerene in particular.

Shornhelm in Rivenspire. Mainly because everything (crafting, bank, horse stable, Inn, etc...) is literally within 5 seconds of the wayshrine.

This. Same as Vivec, but much more beautiful.

Vivec. Just because I like how the crafting stations are set up.

Aesthetic wise it's Orsinium. I like the Orc Architecture and it feels big.
For crafting and banking I prefer Velyn Harbor. The Wayshrine might not be right in the town but It's very close. The writboards are right next to the crafting stations and the dropoff is very close too. The Bank aswell.

For crafting, gotta be Elden Root. Aside from cooking you have literally every crafting resources plus banks in one room. Glorious. "Obviously a feat of superior Bosmer engineering" says a proud Bosmer player...

That's funny because out of all the cities I hate Elden root the most since you have to walk upstairs to get to anything, although you used to not be able to ride a horse on the bottom floor so maybe its better now but it still the last place ill ever go for crafting. I used to go to Shornhelm but I like Alinor now.

Purely for the city and not for doing daily writs, I like Wayrest the most, proabably because it feels the most alive, lots of people and has the like "open market" in front of the bank and big buildings people dueling and trading. - its where I spend my time when I'm not doing anything specific

Abah's Landing. It's the only city that feels like a city. I wish they'd go back to this design philosophy.

Alinor and Orsinium sort of followed the model, but were smaller/less dense.

Sunhold was awesome. Too bad it's a public dungeon. :(

Before saying anything, I would like to see Skingrad.
Otherwise ... the Reaver Citadel (maybe the sister-city of Skingrad, Sarchal) is cool.

Brass Fortress for me. I love Steampunk and the whole Clockwork City is amazing.

I wish there was some small or medium player house within the Brass Fortress. Even an apartment would make me very happy.

For crafting, I would definitely say Mournhold. Writ boards, crafting stations, writ dropoff location all right next to each other. Except for provisioning but for that I just keep pre-crafted foods and drinks in my bank and just get what I need from there. Lazy Writ Crafter even pulls them out automatically as soon as I open my bank. (Alchemy as well, saves time from having to make it even though the station is right there).
This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!

Vivec City as it has the best crafting utility; second-best Rawlkha and then its more about ambience so Wayrest, Riften, Orsinium and Alinor for four totally different vibes.

Riften. Because of the fall colors. I could do without the annoying guy who’s running around throwing pies at everyone, though.

Whoever could imagine your post will lead on to so many more :D. Only a true necromancer revives threads that were dead almost 5 years :D.

Rawl'kha, is standard, Rimen is very good but not as practical.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
