What's your favorite City in Tamriel?

Mournhold & Hollow City are my fav's... mainly because of the architecture and the atmosphere.. I do wish the bank was better located near the way-shrine/crafting area in both though...

Shornhelm in Rivenspire. Mainly because everything (crafting, bank, horse stable, Inn, etc...) is literally within 5 seconds of the wayshrine.

Daggerfall, I just love hearing that one guy that constantly says "Did you hear, some hero saved king Casamir's life.... I better buy that hero an ale!"

I just imagine that some place, somewhere, I have a dungeon full of ales from this guy, if he is really buying me one for every time he says he should buy me one.

For crafting, gotta be Elden Root. Aside from cooking you have literally every crafting resources plus banks in one room. Glorious. "Obviously a feat of superior Bosmer engineering" says a proud Bosmer player...

Daggerfall. It feels like home for my main character and there's always people running around to make it feel busy and alive.

The Hollow City runs a close second, I love Coldharbour in general and HC is a very peaceful place.

Haven't heard that guy say a word in months, and I'm no stranger to Daggerfall's crafting area. Kinda disappointed. No warm loafs of cheesy bread, either.

Even though Elden root is my fave based on looks and feels like my home as a Bosmer. My fave is Stormhold in Shadowfen based on convenience as all the crafting is very close to bank, dyes and stables and wayshrine.

"Do you know the old saying "Neither a borrower or a lender be"? Well, rubbish! Without borrowers or lenders, how could we ever buy or sell anything?

But pardon me. Welcome to the bank of Daggerfall!"

Not sure it's right 'cause that's what I remember anyway... But, yeah! I miss her so much :(
I mean, really... I'd pay $15 for a DLC to add that back.

Rawl'Kha and Bleakrock. Rawl has all crafting stations, bank, stable, wayshrine in close proximity. Bleakrock has a distant Wayshrine but all crafting in same building.

    Aesthetically, I'd say Mournhold > Winterhold > Riften > Daggerfall > Wayrest

    For crafting, Rawl'kha.

I didn't realize how much I dislike the aesthetics of AD towns, shame AD has my main characters.

Mournhold for crafting and aesthetics (post wayshine relocation).
    Shornhelm for crafting and banking.
    Wayrest for looting.
Daggerfall for aesthetics (Daggerfall was my first TES title, so it holds a special place in my mind).

Windhelm. Party town. Also no other town is built like it. It can be quite confusing the first time you visit but after a while it grows on you as do the drunks. I'm also partial to Riften. I do lots of crafting there.

I love walking by the eating contest in Windhelm (these are purely from my recollection-not exact):
"What. Are you choking?! Finish that pie you big baby!"
"We're honoring our king here. Eat like you mean it!"

BTW Anyone know what's with the woman who says, "It's here!" in Riften every so often? It's really bugging me, so if anyone knows please tell. Is it a part of a quest or something?

I love Elden Root, since as a Bosmer it's my capital city. For crafting, I really liked Bleakrock Village...right up until I progressed too far in the game and the village was overrun... Rawl'kha is good but very crowded. I also like Riften because of the proximity of the bank to the crafting area (because I'm always hitting the bank multiple times when crafting if I'm too close to max items), and Riften was already my favorite city from Skyrim. So far Daggerfall is pretty nice but the wayshrine seems so far away from the crafting and banking.

For the looks: Daggerfall, buildings are spread enough to give a good view of each, variations of landscape elements and their elevations also feels elegant. If I want to retire somewhere, this will be the town.

For the Utility: Rawl'Kha, everything is together, all crafting stations (BS, WW, CL, Alchemy, enchanting, outdoor cooking fire), stable, bank, wayshrine. It's inn is also one of the best place to farm motif/recipe, etc. All it misses, is a grocer (which is literally right next to another wayshrine, so not too bad).

For power farming: Wayrest/Shorehelm. Wayrest bank and shorehelm barracks each has 21-22 trunk/desk/nightstand/bag. The best place to farm. Wayrest bank, obviously, has an advantage of being a bank as well.

Mournhold is much better now since they moved the wayshrine, but the bank is still too far. The city is also very dark.
