Cast times on Ultimates

Just roll a templar, specifically magplar for the next 2 months.
Sweep is still a decent/cheap ultimate which has no cast time for some reason.
    Other reasons to roll magplar:
Living darks' healing and utility is through the roof, sweep has no cast time, decent burst with lining up purifying-pop and sweep, access to strong class dots and decent spammable, press 1 button to go back to full hp, purge 5 negative effects on demand, the only thing its lacking is mobility but there are ways around that.

I really dislike nightblades in general but idk dude, cast time on incap just feels wrong.

Thank *** god classic wow is around the corner, I feel like in a few patches even classic wow will have faster paced combat than ESO.

I almost wonder if they are trying to slow combat to help with lag. Not sure if that is even a factor, just a random thought I had.

There can definitely be a correlation. If you look way back at videos of Cyrodiil PvP in 2014, the combat was so much simpler and slow paced yet stability was insane compared to today with hundreds of players on screen at once.

My take after many years is that this should have been done years ago. Pre one tamriel i was using bloodcraze as a spammable on my brand new stam sorc. I was getting rekted by 2h animation cancel. Talked to many people they said its part of the game. They said git gud. So I did i got good. Fast forward to 6 months ago I was at the top. I was to many on Xbox Na the epitome of stam sorc. But now I have to "git gud" again? I already learned how to play. That's why I've taken a break hoping one day this change will get reverted.

There's many people who share the same story. We were told its apart of the game. Learn it. Was it players? Was it npcs? No the creators themselves said animation canceling is apart of the game. Now they take it away like we were all cheating....As if Gino Bruno herself didn't say animation canceling is apart of the game.

They have to make up their mind on gameplay. Change sets add sets. But finish your product with skills and basic concepts. Imagine if cod just went only third person tomorrow. That's pretty much what happen here. That's my 2 cents.

Last thought this change reminds me of shield cast times change. Instead of nerfing the shield with cast times you nerfed the strength. Why wasnt the ultis with cast times first tested with a dmg nerf?

If they goona make ukts folow their anination then fix animation cancelling while your at it make a *glorious* skill function without the knee jerk twitching tgat accompanies animation canceling and while your at it slow the game content down to compensate slowing down the combat. Not point ults taking 10% longer and the content still moving full sail..

There's nothing like triggering the dual wield ultimate, then flailing fruitlessly at your mouse for .5 seconds to try to block incoming NPC attacks before that exciting red X appears on the screen :s

Such an RP experience! Wouldn't miss it for the world! :D

I spent three days grinding out lorebooks just to get Meteor because the delays are noticeable and that kind of crawl-under-the-skin irritating. I never thought the lorebook grind was bad until now. It's getting really hard to summon the will to log in lately :(

Clearly you’ve never seen the cast time on ele weapon. The effect is on your next hit for 2 seconds, but the anim lasts 1.9 seconds and can’t be cancelled

Yeah, I'd never use that :p Combat's already clunky enough.

I dont understand why all direct damage ults got a casttime but the templar ult didnt. Not saying templar ult needs to get it but all direct damage ults should have it or should not have it. I prefer the not have it option.
