    I'm a teacher. So I like to discuss (in great detail) the topics and gameplay I love, I like to answer questions about lore and content, I appreciate keeping up to date with what's coming down the pipeline, and I enjoy a well-reasoned debate.

    I try not to troll, but I'll admit that sometimes my sarcasm gets the better of me.

    I uninstalled this crap show and unsubbed, but I'm still interested in seeing the fallout.

    So, mostly information. I can't pretend I don't care. I played this game for two and a half years and enjoyed most of it most of the time, even if just about every design decision ZOS has made from Morrowind to now has made me grind my teeth.

    I'll watch this space and occasionally comment if something seems worthwhile or amusing to participate in, but I'm not playing anymore and it's very possible that I never will again.

    They're gonna have to prove that they can grow up and stop patching this game with a chainsaw and by blind flailings before I'll even consider putting time or money into it again.

    For me, a game is like a ship navigating often treacherous seas. I expect unexpected problems and unfortunate issues. I expect and accept without a peep that ideal circumstances for an idea or system are rare and that we all have to temper expectations about some things, especially because this is a shared environment.

    What I flat refuse to accept is overwhelming and consistent evidence that the captain is drunk and none of the officers have a clue where we're even going let alone how we're going to get there.

    I don't want to be on a ship that makes 90 degree turns every day and makes up reasons only a complete potato would believe as justification for the panicked, conflicted lack of direction.

    I don't feel at all like investing more of my time and energy in this game would be smart, because it isn't going anywhere and chances seem certain at this point that the supposed leadership steering this boat have at least six ideas of how they want to do that and they're fighting amongst themselves over them.

    Or just not talking to each other and doing whatever.

    Or just being ignorant and terrible at all of this.

    Take your pick. It all seems plausible to me, and I've lost all confidence in ZOS.

    I sincerely doubt they'll get me back, and i probably disappear from the forum completely soon enough.

    Edit: but really it's several things. I have a lot of downtime at work so it helps the overnight go quickly, and I like to stay ahead of changes and see what the top notch theory crafters think.

    found the forums about a year or so after I started playing...everytime I googled a question about something in the game - I kept getting directed to the forums...

    once I joined I was pretty quiet for several months, it was very intimidating to read just how well a lot of the folks knew the game...I was nervous to really give many opinions about what I thought...

    finally slowly started to comment on things I enjoyed or found interesting...

    at this point I've played an obscene amount of pvp, so, I like to talk about that...I do okay, mostly though just cuz I've been playing so long...my builds and rotations aren't very spectacular - but, fairly functional...

    after a year or so the forums started becoming like a social experiment to me...my first real big influence was @Rohamad_Ali ...I was amazed by their ability to use images to convey ideas and emotions...it still fascinates and pleases me to find an image that'll work better than words for me...

    no doubt the forums have their rough spots...

    read: really *** game performance for way too high a percentage of players...

    it's just poor craftsmanship, which is disappointing to realize about something you care about...it's like rooting for a really bad professional sports team...I'm a new york knicks fan, and you can find me chatting over on knickerblogger, commiserating with other knick fans...some serious stat heads hang out there, and, a surprising number of musicians...weirdly enough, there are people whom can do both...

    this place here can be like willy wonka's chocolate factory compared to that place towards the end of another unsuccessful season...

    simple answer to why I'm here - I wanted to try to connect...
