When I play I sub - I'm a crafter and crafting is simply unmanageable without a craft bag.
Would I sub if the other so called benefits were stripped away?
Likely not, the subscription barely meets my "value for money" requirements as it stands, removing things from it would make it fall short.
I'd no longer sub, and therefore no longer play.

I was a non-sub I do 1 of two things to deal with my crafting.
1. I sell my materials in guild stores and buy them back if I need them
2. I am actually able to hold on until there is an ESO+ free week and cram everything into the bag.1 -

Nah, I disagree. All the bonis + craft bag + crowns barely keep me subbing these days, considering all the issues and strange changes. I agree that the crown crates are *** and I can understand that some people don't want to use the crown store alltogether, but directly taking away worth from the sub wouldn't exactly keep me paying. If anything, they should expand on sub bonis. The little furnitures are nice, but hm...0 -

Look. Tbh from zos's side it will be a very risky QoL improvement. Because it could potentially lower their renevue. on another side, it might ADD subs.
I mean, to be honest, if they do it, i might consider resubbing, because i will feel they actually care about us, the players. I will resub either way probably during dragonhold release, if the improvements they have promised preformance wise happen and guild history and add ons will get their proper support.
Now look:
Most subbers that sub mostly for craft bag, will not stop subbing from a small amount of 20 spots. It is laughably small. But enough to store few style materials here and there, which has it's variety go up at an alarming speed.
Subbers that sub mainly for supporting the game(i was in that group) will stop subbing when the game doesn't work for them. And sub again when it does.
Subbers that sub mainly for dlc (lol) i dont believe in their existence.
Subbers that sub mainly for crowns in addition to the goodies (the, "value" subbers) will continue subbing.
Subbers that sub mainly for housing , will continue subbing.
Fact stays, amount of mats and sets available every patch goes up steadily, but the inventory space in game for both subbers and non subbers stay the same. i dont know if the 20 free bagspace for each mat is the answer, but i do think it is a great step forward. Problem is, as i said, it might make the game lose renevue. A thing i do not want (even though i am not subbing currently, irrelevant though).
Inventory space needs a solution. Few solutions. Both for subbers, and non subbers. But first of all. EU needs a working server that can support such a solution.

However, the poll is obviously biased. People can agree that craft bag is the reason they sub without negating all the other reasons. The "main" reason I pay monthly rent is so I have a roof over my head but it's also nice to have running water and a cold box to put my food in. One reason doesn't negate all the other reasons just because it has a greater priority.4 -

I'd like to meet these 'so many people who ESO+ only for the craftbag.' Everyone I know enjoys the craftbag but also greatly appreciates the Crowns and the ability to dye costumes.
Not giving a small craftbag to non-subscribers is stingy? No. Stingy is wanting something without being willing to pay for it. Stingy is expecting others to subsidize what you think you want. Stingy is wanting to play a game but not paying for it.
Not subscribing is a nice option for those who want to assess whether they really enjoy the game; if they really enjoy the game and want to spend a lot of time playing it, then it is appropriate to consider ESO+Edited by AcadianPaladin on August 22, 2019 6:06PMPC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo5 -
