OK so now that we've seen the feedback from the PC folks about this latest update and the forum threads, how many of us are actually looking forward to it? Personally I've never seen a more unappealing update since Morrowind :/

I'm looking forward to it. If the DoTs stay the way they are, I expect my StamDK to get a DPS increase.

I would be 100% okay if they delayed its release until they've ironed out all of the major bugs

Not looking forward but also don’t care because the game is unplayable and I can’t see this fixing lag. Yeah, the skill changes suck. But who cares if you can’t play.

I’m happy see to the heavy meta sets to go and some skill changes like Poison arrow and vigor.

I’m not too fussed about nerfs because it’ll all change next patch as they’re doing things in a processes now

Same as all dungeon “DLC” don’t care.
Never cared about forced group content.

I am "not sure how to feel", honestly.

I've never been a stellar meta BIS player, so all the nerfs usually go over my head as far as how much they impact my playstyle.

I don't like PvP, so I generally avoid Cyrodiil anyway.

And I could take or leave group dungeons/trials.

However, as a trading guild GM, I'm bracing myself. I like the idea of being able to place back-up bids... but I'm also living in fear of a PC EU-style apocalypse, so...

Not looking forward to another 50 GB patch that has no bug fixes from the PC release. If we need wait weeks for the patch, ZOS should fix the worst bugs. Or if we're going to be getting the same as PC, the PC players should be last for half the releases.

    Let’s see...

    1. Skill overhaul that no one asked for, which will force many of us to completely change our play style.

    2. Constant crashing in Cyrodiil.

    3. Multi-bid guild trader fiasco on PC EU caused by the server’s inability to handle the load.

Yeah, not enthused... I see no reason to start my sub up again, or to even log in again.

Yea it's looking like a bit of a disaster so far and something tells me it'll be even worse on Consoles.

Oh, you know it’ll be worse. PS4 and XB1 can barely run Elsweyr. It’s quite clear that Scalebreaker is a buggy mess on PC EU (which suffers from many of the same issues we do), and Cyrodiil performance is suffering right now on PC NA. We won’t get a quick fix. If I were a betting gal, I’d place good money on claiming that the patch that broke Cyrodiil on PC NA is already in the midst of the authentication process on console, and that it will remain broken for weeks until ZOS can justify bundling in the fix with some new content, like they did with necro bash.

The key to avoiding these problems on console, knowing that the patch authentication process takes a while, is to get the code right the first time. But no, it’s rush rush rush so they can add new DLC-themed crap to the crown store.

It's not the Dungeons I'm worried about because I don't mind them either. I'm worried about all the reported issues and Gameplay changes this update will bring. And according to people I've spoken to on PC it's pretty bad.

Scalebreaker? Most classes using dot damage now with no decent dot tracker, more like Dealbreaker..... I can see a lot of people leaving next patch.

As a PC player i envy consoles for having few additional days of playing in Elsweyr and I feel bad for them that now it's their turn for Scalebreaker.

If it was rough on PC, it's not going to be pretty for us either. The game runs terribly as is, especially since Elsweyr came out.

People can only tolerate so much performance wise, I'm not even touching upon the new meta.

I never look forward to dungeon DLCs. And I won’t until they release a story mode.

But for this patch, while there are several interesting changes, there are also too many that gut some important aspects of my characters. Since I place priority on sticking to character concepts, for me it is not a simple matter of “adapt and use this skill instead.” And while my characters certainly evolve over time, there are limits.

Still dealing with bugs from several patches ago, game has been stuttery ever since Elsweyr, and here comes a new huge patch that will bring a whole slew of performance issues, make trial progression harder, overturn the dps meta towards fewer class skills and for some reason DoT is king out of nowhere, cast times on ultimates, of course I'm not looking forward to it.

Also, Cyrodiil (when it doesn't crash) is going to be full to brimming with bombers and overload sorcs, to go with the turdstorm that is Necro bashers. It'll basically be Cancerdiil.

Adjustments? What "adjustments" do you make to prepare for a broken bug filled mess? Installing RDR2? Refamiliarising yourself with GTAO? Back to COD?

Well I've been anticipating this thing for more than a month now, keeping up on the PTS notes, hearing what people are saying now that it's live on PC, and thinking up various tweaks to my own builds throughout. So yeah I'm very anxious to have it in front of me to play around with.

Far as the performance stuff, we'll see how that goes, I guess. I try not to worry much, makes things easier on the old noggin'. Worst case scenario I have a couple fall-backs, MMOs I've spent a lot of time in but am not currently playing since I don't have time to commit to two games, but I wouldn't be opposed to checking in there for a bit. I doubt it would come to that though.
