Good question. Guild Finder lists a guild’s established date, but that would be needle in a haystack kind of search.

It will, of course, be a PC guild since they had it before console.

some have 3's and 4's after names so maybe those but I think they arent even that good usually recycled members and players. some go cross platform/game as well. mine is the biggest and the smallest when I feel like it

I've been running a guild since beta in 2014, but I foolishly disbanded it and started afresh in July 2015 and I've always kept it at around 300-400 members since then. It's one of the oldest, but due to its date it's not the oldest. That'd be for those guilds that formed when the game started in 2014 and are still going strong today.

My guild was founded 4/13/14, about 2 weeks after early access.
My favorite trade guild is older than that, around 4/8/14.
Knew of some older but they not around more. I'm sure there are a few left from early access..3/30/14

Well, we are cross platforms and cross games, founded in 1998 in Ultima Online...until somebody pops up with older dates we have declared us humbly as the oldest. Kept the name and a few founders are also still on board.

I say humbly because there are now bigger guilds with more active officers and better (also real life) activities, which I know of first hand. Well, we all grew older, have families and jobs...

In 1998 we were quite famous on Drachenfels Server though.

Just some old stories...:)

EDIT: Here in ESO we started in beta like other guilds as well, and the official launch date was 30/3/2014, earliest possible date.

I'm in two guilds which were formed on 30th March 2014.

I've always wondered why guilds are limited to 500 members. It means that you end up with small families of guilds with closely-related names.

The Noore was founded in beta and was the first guild featured by ZOS. It is still active and has 470+ members. Given that several guilds formed in beta and were active at launch not sure any group can claim first in ESO solely; a shared laurel at best.

I think trading alliances would be the largest, they usually include several guilds.

I belong to at least 3 guilds that were started in beta in 2013. If we don't count those or cross game guilds, there is still one guild in the summer of 2013 who won the right to reserve their guild name as part of an incentive by ZoS for progressing the farthest collectively in testing the questline (EP). I don't remember their name, or even if they ended up sticking around for the game luanch on PC. But if they did, and that guild still exists, that would officially be the oldest guild in the game.

"The BBC" was founded in LOTRO In 2008.

I got nominated to start a guild and I replied that if they came up with a name I loved, I'd do it.
When "Brandywine Brewing Co" got suggested, I loved it and dove in.

We've held those initials in every game since, despite the arrival of the urban dictionary definition (lol), with our long term homes being LOTRO (since 2008) and ESO (since 2014).

When I first started the game, I saw a guild advertisment in zone, that claimed "The Imperial Trading Company" was the oldest trading guild.
This was on PC EU. I have no idea how you could verify this and it's probably not even true. But they may well be one of the oldest EU trading guilds.

This and there are a lot of guild with 500 members but most are not active or at least not active with that guild due to poor management.

I remember a guild that boasted 500 members in their recruitment but where willing to kick some to make room for new members. Over half of the build had not logged in for a couple months or more and most of the rest never did anything with the guild.

My point the total number of members is not important but how active the guild is within the guild and that starts with good leadership.

500 is max but there are a lot of popular/well known ones in PS4 NA.

<Earth Station>, <Spicy Burrito>, <Reapers of Death>, <ONE PERCENTERS>, <Bio Hazard>, < FATALITY>, <Blood Trials>, <Pounding Pixels>, remains of <Grand Council>... handful more that I forgot to mention.

I forget the guild name but there's a trade guild that has 5 ( last time I heard ) full guilds, so thats 2500 right there

Handelsgilde (im pretty sure, bcs arka and me were talking bout same timestamp a couple of times)
Payday (my private guildbank meanwhile, also has that timestamp)

main problem is, timestamp only views date, no timer.
