According to the PvPers here:
- The performance is so terrible it's unplayable.
- Even when the performance is "ok", the combat is laughable compared to all those other games out there.
- They are all withholding support via ESO+ until you "FIX IT!!!!111" anyhow.
What I see is the squeaky flippin wheel effect:
- The forums are filled with their organized yet inactionable rants.
- You've slowly degraded UX everywhere with classes based on their incessant whining in feedback threads.
- Parts of the economy held hostage to this useless activity.
- An entire zone and battlegrounds waiting to be repurposed.
- This **** just isn't part of TES, online or off.
So, the obvious answer is to just get rid of it. It's a win-win.
Forum population maybe 1% of the game. PvP only players on the forum maybe 1% of the forum.
Pvp populatuon is teeny tiny l regardless of forum account status anyway.
No one is listening to pvp requests from this forum it just gives people a place to yell into.
Remember if literally every single PvP player left the game it would be removing a bucket from the ocean

Maybe BGs would be fun without the "hardcore" PvP toxicity?
And I could finally get PvE parts of Cyro done without dying every 10 seconds.
I do like this idea of getting rid of PvP. Win-win. Let the PvPers go play another game they'll likely enjoy more (they do like to complain about this one) and the rest of us get some peace.

You hear this type of sentiment a lot around here, and I'm sure there are more "PvE" players in game (although I disagree there's as much a difference on the forum). The problem with this thinking though is that the game can't simply be divided into 2 sub-groups (PvP & PvE) it has to be divided into 3, PvP, endgame-PvE, and casual-PvE, because the priorities and concerns between casuals and hardcores are as different as those between PvPers and PvEers.
Now, among the 3, I believe the casuals have the largest share, hands down. But, by definition of casual they're also the easiest to please.
Between PvP and endgame-PvE, I believe PvP has the bigger population, I mean score-pushers are literally referred to as the 1% around here, but just for discussion let's assume they're equal. I think it's safe to assume that PvP players are the most likely of the 3 sub-groups to be cross-over players, meaning they also hold an interest in one or both of the other 2 sub-groups. People who you'd categorize as casuals, aren't doing endgame, though some may PvP. Endgamers, some many enjoy taking a break to do some quests once in a while, some might dabble in PvP, but for the most part they seem to detest both of the other groups, as evidenced by their propensity to vote-kick anyone who is clearly from said group. PvPers on the other hand, the majority do also play PvE in one flavor or the other when they're not out killing each other.
When you consider all that, I think PvP actually becomes the most important group.
Also, out of curiosity, if PvP is so under-represented on the forums and no one listens to them, how come they always get blamed for every nerf ever?

Thank you for making my point.

Maybe just learn to play at an average level? Bgs won't be fun because you'd realize it's not just pvp toxicity and has a lot to do with you, same in Cyro. You should have 0 problems with the pve parts of Cyrodiil, they're PVE aside from Crops, Vaalas, and Bruma, and there's way more PVE in Cyro then the daily repeatable. Have fun though as the problems from PVP are leaking into PVE.

Why? Let me put it this way: Please name even 1 thing PvP world has *lost* to give something to PvE? Let's same some time, the answer is NOTHING. Now, if you really want, I'll list all the things the PvE part of the game has had taken away from us because PvP whined about it. It's a very very long list, and most of it makes PvE tanking much more difficult. Which is why your queue times for dungeons are so long.
Also, you seem unaware that the dailies are camped by gankers, and that's what I'd like to do for AP, not get my ass handed to me by cheater.
It must be nice to live in the part of the game that ZOS treats gently and fixes all bugs with top priority. I'm really sick of PvP griping that they're so "ignored" - simply because content is released for PvE *also.*

PVP players have lost more then PVE ever will. Every time there is a new patch something new is glitched, broken, or unbalanced and it takes forever to get fixed. ZOS has never treated PVP "gently" and there's bugs in there I've been dealing with for 4 years that never get fixed. Let me hit you with reality, PVE makes more money and is the part that gets catered to. If you think otherwise you are delusional.
I would also like to address " most of it makes PvE tanking much more difficult. Which is why your queue times for dungeons are so long."
No, the queue times are because less people find healing/tanking less appealing then being a damage dealer and the lack of that leads to longer queue times along with the LFG being broken and ZOS acknowledging it needing a fix and working on it. I'm sorry you lost your tank runes and you might actually have to learn how to play the game you paid for. God forbid your block costs are now 95% now and not 100% and ZOS doesn't want you to coast through all of the PVE content put out.
Also "dailies are camped by gankers, and that's what I'd like to do for AP, not get my ass handed to me by cheater."
This brings me back to my original point. Get to at least an average level of play, there's more ways to make AP, and as a PVE player that also enjoys PVP, gankers aren't cheating and they aren't as prevalent as you make them out to be.
