The time they are taking to fix their performance problems, I plan to go play borderlands, or maybe other titles. Don't forget to cancel your sub, ensure they recognize the loss. Maybe in a damn year when they have their fixes rolled out, and a new season of nerfs are out.. And there will be story and other content to catch up on...
Yall.. That's the answer. Don't sit on these forums playing into all this drama. Leave the game, cancel your sub, and come back to it later after they have done their thing.
@Conduit0 they've been telling us the same thing for years. They're the boy who cried wolf and people get tired of waiting. A hundred threads won't change anything. The only thing they care about is $$ and until that's impacted they have no reason to fix this shitshow.
Elsweyr has nothing to do with it, these problems have been a long time coming. The problem is the megaserver design, everything is interconnected so when the server is overloaded due to a ballooning population(despite what the forum Chicken Littles would have you believe) everything is affected including seemingly empty zones. Fixing the problem requires massive overhauls of the games code, it's not something that can be done quickly nor would it be advisable to drop all the changes at once because the law of unintended consequences is a female dog.Expecting us to wait until 2020 for a performance fix is a bit rich, especially considering that performance was actually semi-okay on console pre-Elsweyr. I’d really like to know what they managed to screw up so badly with Elsweyr that resulted in extreme frame rate loss and rubber banding in deserted vanilla PVE locations like The Rift. How does it take a year to fix the mistakes of a single update?
No they have not been telling us the same thing for years. They have NEVER laid out a roadmap for performance updates before now. They have been telling us for years that they were working on it and considering the complexity of rewriting critical game code it is likely that at least some of these planned updates have been in development for years.@Conduit0 they've been telling us the same thing for years. But the crown store works great, best performance in the game. They're literally "killing it".

People complain that devs don't communicate enough, devs layout a step by step plan of their intended fixes, people still complain anyways.
A roadmap? A 6th grade student can create the same vague powerpoint. Outside of major " fixes" why cant zos start doing performance updates outside of major cash content updates?

The performance updates are major fixes and staggering their releases makes sense because it gives them time to make sure all the new changes are working properly before they release the next round of updates.

Way to go zos.
ZOS - “Lets develop a patch that makes no sense, NERFS everywhere, that will really get the forums talking. Let’s make the patch so ridiculous that everyone will talk about the patch and NOT THE LAG!”
Smart zos. All the posts on here are about your stupidity in gameplay decisions and NOT the lag... in all honesty you are trying to be smart.
I don’t buy it, and you all shouldn’t either.
FIX
YOUR
SERVERS
100mbps, hardwired, Xbox one X, SSD, subbed account and been playing since launch day 1...
and I still can’t fight without lag and without getting booted to the home screen. Damn, you make NBA 2 k servers look godly....
So. Over. It.

First off you clearly have no clue how a mmo works if your comparing nba2k with a MMO server. Second they showed a road map that they are WORKING ON to hopefully help with the lag. How about reading pinned messages before ranting.
