Also moderated chat and same day Customer Service responses would be a lovely bonus.
You have my email. Let me know when that server is ready please.

I didn't get angry at the people who lived in better houses, had better jobs, or could afford other luxuries in life which I could not. I am sure you don't either. Sounds like you objected to my choice of language "the great unwashed" which is akin to "joe sixpack". It's just marketing terminology I use when referring to the masses of low income bracket people.
There are 85 people in the world who's combined wealth exceeds 85% of the rest of the world's population. They get access to a lot of cool experiences I don't. I'm not asking anyone to take those things away from them just because I can't afford it.
Lone_Wanderer wrote: »That's an incredibly stupid suggestion you didn't think through. Not only will this not get rid of the gold sellers/bots/hackers, given most use hacked ccs and accounts anyway their odds won't dampen (if anything I think they'd turn more profit in this scenario); you'll still run into arrogant, entitled people (such as yourself), so an ego clash is bound to happen either way. And most importantly Zenimax will lose most of their player base for charging an unreasonable monthly charge, which would make it ftp "pay to win' in a matter of months, which will aggravate every fault you've pointed out. If that idea soothes you, there are at least a few mmo's out there ready to vacuum your wallet; but don't expect it out of eso.

Despite all the whining pre-release, game companies are drastically underestimating the potential for a high cost, high quality service game.

At least it's an original idea instead of clone threads about the same issues.

PS: u are also greedy and selfish to even think of this approach....greedy and selfish CAUSE u want more then ur already getting and u want to be better then others............this post should be closed imo as it ISNT releated to CS at all.........GOOD DAY SIR!
If consumers will pay extra, you can provide extra. Supply and demand is basic economics. Regardless of like or dislike for the OP, there is nothing wrong with his idea.
I guess I really don't understand why anyone thinks this is a bad idea?
It has been tried in the past, it worked successfully, and it could work again.
Why is it a bad idea to pay more for better customer service? We do it all the time. You pay a little extra for valet parking, for a better restaurant, for dry cleaning, for the bell boy to take your bags, or the town car instead of the taxi.

Actually, what the OP suggested in running a premium server is not unreasonable. It all comes down to return on investment. If the cost of running another server for premium subscribers will generate an acceptable return over an extended period of time, Zenimax, like any other business, will do it!
But come on... didn't you all, like me, when reading the OP's comment of "I am a 40+ semi-retired, lifetime gamer" just wish, even just a little, that we were on the end of his keyboard?!!
[sighs... now starts dreaming of the first class air, the hockey tickets... Mmmmm]

Probably because this is a video game and entertainment is its first priority. Charging premium rates to have on demand customer service basically disenfranchises players who do not have that kind of money to blow on things like that, yet somehow their problems are not be perceived as important as the OP because he does.
In addition all of the comparisons you attempted to make to justify the reasoning behind this fall in the realm of real life, while the OP is asking for something to essentially put him ahead of other players in in a video game.
This also sets a rather unhealthy precedent for future games which thankfully has not become popular because I do not know of many MMO's that offer $100 a month sub fees. $100 for a year maybe but not a month.

actually there is something wrong............NO GAMER....wants to pay a butt load of money just for a sub......no MMO has ever charged more then 50 or 60 Dollars a month......its just rediculous.............if u would rather play by ur self (Which u will be doing as nobody will pay 100 dollars a month for a sub) then go get a single player game.............ALSO as i posted u wont be getting better CS cause they will be dividing their time between ur ritch ass server and the other one.............its not LOGICAL........also u are greedy and selfish to think u will get better service and have less trolls and spammers.........u are very wrong there sir.......there will ALWAYS be spammers and trolls no matter what amount the sub is..hell ill pay the 100 dollars just to troll u sir................is that what u want?

I'm a gamer, I've played nearly every major MMO, and I've been playing for nearly 2 decades. I would happily pay $50 - $100 a month.
As I said before, Sony did this with Everquest, and they had more people willing to pay the extra money than they had room for on the server, so there was a waiting list.
You do in fact get better Customer Service, because the additional income allows ZOS to hire new dedicate CS agents.
I don't think I'm greedy or selfish, but I am willing to pay more money for a better experience, better customer support, and a significant lack of gold spammers and farmers.
If you feel it's necessary to spend that much money to come and try and ruin someone else's experience, I suppose that's your right. Your lack of punctuation, capitalization, missing letters, and gross misuse of ellipses, would let me know it was you.

george.smithb16_ESO wrote: »Recently, I played the Beta of RUST... anyone heard of that shooter?
It was loaded with cheaters, but you could buy your own server. So people did. They paid a lot of money to buy and manage their own servers and invite their friends to play, cheater free.
I managed a server for a while and people sent me money to pay for my time to ensure the server remained cheat free, and if anyone had bugs/issues, or got hacked before the cheater was discovered, they got good service replacing their stuff fast.
People WILL Pay More for better service. It's a fact.
