Official statement about multi-bid situation on EU-server ????

Hello everyone !
And hello @ZOS_GinaBruno and ZOS !

I guess that it is not to much to qualify the first multi-bid swap as a disaster on EU server.
I would lie if I would say that we expected it to be different, and one hour before the actual swap we all knew that it wouldn't be peaceful considering the lag spreading all over the game.

Sadly, many hours after that, there is no official communication about what happened, and eventually what will happen in the next few hours. And this last information is crucial for all people running trading guilds !!!
Maintenance is coming : will there be a roll back ? will the guilds who actually won their bids get their trader ? Will we all have to run to hire a trader ? Will the situation stay as it is during the whole week ? Will the problem be solved for the next bid ?
Glad for the US-server that everything went smooth for them ? But why didn't it work for us ?
Once more, not only the devs are failing, but the communication itself is a fiasco.

As we tend to say a lot, we LOVE the game, it is an AWESOME game ! But seriously, how can we not be absolutely disappointed by the perpetual disaster each "quality of life" improvement is bringing, and how you communicate about it.

Do you understand why it seems to us that you don't care at all? We have seem how fast it was to fix the "free necromancer-loss of money bug" last week.

So now it would be nice to see that someone cares and get some answers.I remember you saying that you would improve communication. Now is a good time to do it !

The amount of gold this has brought into the game is massive.
Guilds got refunded more than what they bid, and we are not talking about a few thousand gold here. It's billions of gold from out of nowhere.
Some guilds got refunded several hundred millions more than what they bid, apparently some GMs have more than 1 BILLION gold more than before the trader bids. A great part of this gold is already laundered, people who got showered with gold yesterday bought literally everything in guild stores. There were basically NO dreugh wax, rosins or tempering alloy left in any guild in craglorn, rawlkha or Deshaan when I checked them last night, and when I logged off, people just started listing wax for 20k a piece.. if those are the new PC EU market prices for golden improvement mats then I don't know what to say.

My guess is, ZOS will do nothing, as they would have to do a complete server rollback and too much time has passed already. It's been 12 hours.

The only communication we get is “we’re looking into it”. It really isn’t enough.

It will take time but going through each trader and the winning bid needs to happen. A chance of a rollback is far to gone. So much time has passed.

I’m kinda interested in if some of these guilds even have 50 people in them. They seemed to crawl out of the woodwork and snatch up all they could.

True, Gariele.. those guilds on the traders are weird.
The amount of empty guild traders is annoying. There is a guild called "Oops empty" in Windhelm and guess what. Their store is indeed empty.

So are 50% of the guild traders in the bigger cities, because guilds no one has ever heard of were able to secure those traders and when you check their stores, either nothing is listed, or they have 50 fishing baits and 3 lockpicks and that's it. Pretty disappointing for a Belkarth front row spot..

Thank you very much eyylora, I will leave all my sadness and try to be constructive. But somehow i cannot, every company has its priority list. as you said necromancer thing was fast to fix because they will lose money in the end. trading is just a feature on their product that has not major impact on their income or effect their product quality

trading with trading gms and its effects are just minority, it does not add much to their quality metrics or reports they are showing to their boss and as in all streams with overall customer feedback is good so who cares.

lack of communication and whole time passing between kiosk and maintenance start is huge and wont be rollback for minority.

also 4x refunds... I dont have much to effect, but You and I both know bigger guilds now have money to buy all tamriel. and most of them already gone.

I am glad that i did my part on past weeks. I am pretty sure it was taken more serious if we were not minority.

just we will get over with it. about the billions of gold? I am just sad

Yes, empty guilds everywhere. "Oops empty" was definitely a good one

I could actually have hired a 10k trader for my social guild : we are 51 including 47 retired players. I thought that a real guild might use the spot. Sadly, it seems that guilds who won their bid but didn't get the won spot can't hire another one. What a mess !!!

'we're looking at it' is traditionally Z0S speak for we haven't got a flipping clue what to do so if we just hide for a couple of weeks hopefully the rage will have died down sufficiently because we know gamers have short attention spans...

I heard about all this insane amount of money people got back after the bid, I heard also about guilds who didn't get money back at all, they lost EVERYTHING yesterday evening

Actions have to be taken fast. But will it happen ?

Didn't they say multi bid is getting rid of ghost guilds? Didn't we say otherwise?

And I am guessing they will not change a thing about it.

The problem is, there was no point in whatever. The guilds which actually win the spot, so most guilds willing to bid and hire a trader were blocked from fast hiring, so all u could get were empty bank or social guilds and so on.

Unfortunately, this was an exceptional week. However, errors can happen during patching. We really should've gotten the opportunity to test this better on the PTS, and I hope. They patch this error before the next switch over on Sunday.

ZOS please, let us know before the servers go live after maintenance, if we'll need to hire traders, or if we're stuck with what we currently have/don't have for the remainder of the week. So, GMs and officers have a chance to organize, who will go online to hire our vendor kiosks. We 'd like to get the kiosks going as quickly as possible. So, trading can continue with as little disruption as possible.

(Most of) those aren't really "ghost guilds". They're social, PvP, really small, other such guilds that grabbed a trader for sh!t'n'giggles when they were up but don't have much to sell. (It's also not really their fault for doing so, to be clear.)

Well, if you name your guild "Oops empty" and have nothing to sell, you're a ghost guild. Doesn't matter if its just for fun or serious.

Yep, saw it.

Saw several guilds with 2-4 items for sale. Many others with next to no inventory. Some of them might be newcomers who aren't familiar with trading. But my guess is a lot of the guilds that jumped into the glitch are run by players who know exactly what they are doing.

The current outcome is a mess. At least it has flushed out a lot of the proxy guilds.

Wow... Im on PC/NA and was worried when I logged on...
Thought I was lucky as all is ok as far as I can tell on NA. Contacted what GM's that were on and they said no problems...
BUT!! Billion in gold from no where??? Dang! I have spent the last week to put together 2 mill for this new multi bidding fiasco!!

Kidding aside, I'm truly sorry for our EU brethren... Hope they get it worked out and again...
ZOS!!!! We told you this needed more attention than PTS could give!!! Please reconsider Multi Bidding!!!

The people (guild masters) who got the billions usually don't buy gifts, they run the crown exchanges.

Lots of players got the gold now.
Those players might use some of it to buy the stuff they need for their homes/etc.

People already bought those crowns for real money. Either got it through subs, or some people who are desperate to get in game gold will actually go and buy a crown pack for real money if they know they can sell it for gold to someone.

Someone has to pay for the crowns to get those crown gifts - ZOS won’t care if it’s player A buying them directly with crowns or player B buying it with crowns to sell to player A. The more gold that gets thrown towards crown gifting, the more crowns get bought full stop. That will be a win in ZOS’ book.

Well, If I buy crown store stuff with in-game gold, SOMEONE has to spend real money and that's the person I buy from. So no worries, ZOS gets their money.

the whole thing has been a huge mistake that should never have made it past PTS, why bother having a PTS if your not going to listen to the feed back? i predict a long than usual down time today with guild history staying off for some time, the extra gold and if rumours are correct the buying up of anything of value will destroy the in game economy and worst the QOL of the average player who struggle to improve gear, buy mats and pots as it is, and to those ppl who have (or may have) done this to drive prices up even after a windfall of free gold then you are nothing more than scam artists and should be banned (exploiting a bug for advancment in game)
ZOS you need to act and communicate as per your promise a couple of weeks ago

Its rewind time, if they dont rollback what happened yesterday then PC-EUs' economy will be ***.
People made billions of gold of that glitch yesterday, if there ever was a time to rollback, now is the time.
Personally I couldnt give a single ***, I got thousands of gold mats in my bank lieing around from prior to this "bug" and I would actually benefit from the situation the economy is in right now, but they should 100% rollback the servers to the state before bids were up, if they have some kind of brain.

You know actually rollback is not a bad idea if you did nothing special really. But for example for me i got my second Maelstrom Dagger at this time and it took me a lot of grind to get this so i would be very unfair if they would do this. And there are other people who had like a very good drop. I think if you were in the same situation you would not ask for a reroll.

I think they should just revert the money and punish the people who spend it because this was cleary a bug and using the money is bugusing. You remember last year when people abused the trial and sold skins because you could damage the boss outside of the room? They banned most of the people for it so i dont think they will proceed otherwise now. I assume most of the big guild leads are aware of that.

I know it sounds unfair but using a bug is cleary against TOS even when it is caused by ZOS.
