Please stop the spam from ESO Support!

There are good reasons for support to send mail to me. Letting me know that I have reported one of the gold spammers is not a good reason.

I don't know if other people want the hundreds of mails caused by reporting spammers, but I know I don't. Either suppress all mails for a report of spamming (you're already forcing us to identify the ticket as such, so suppression would not be hard) or make it an optional setting (which would require more work but allow people who want to track all the people they have blocked).

Also, I'm not interested in taking accounts off my ignore list until I know you have perma-banned them. I don't know where ignore lists are so I don't know how much coding would be required, but the next great feature would be to remove an account from all user ignore lists when the account is perma-banned so that we don't have to do maintenance based on the hope that you have taken action.

Just give me an "Report and Ignore" option that doesn't open a page that requires me to spend even more time on that spammer than I have too.

Should to be possible that automatically include the offending text with the Report and Ignore option.

Yeah I stopped reporting gold seller spammers because I am tired of Zenimax spamming my main private e-mail inbox with idiotic pointless autogenerated confirmations.

I got over 50 last night alone. Even the spam filter addons from ESOUI can't keep up with this trash.

It's even better though when the spam is absolutely zero to do with the problem you've submitted!!

    Their idea of communication:

Last night I wrote an indepth in game report about boss farming bots in a dungeon, even went to the trouble of listing the culprets names.. fffppllljjjtt, mmmnnjjjksw, etc etc

This is the email reply I received:

    Greetings Warrior!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with your quest. With the new release there is the possibility that a couple of mudcrabs have gotten into our system. Thank you for bringing this quest to our attention.
Here are some troubleshooting tips that may help you as we work towards a more permanent solution. We recommend that you try the following:
    • Typing /reloadui in your chatbox, for graphics or user-interface issues
    • Typing /camp in your chatbox, which logs you out. By waiting 15 minutes before logging back in, you are performing a soft-reset which will clear out the cache and allow the game to load properly.
    • You can venture off to complete other quests, allowing time to pass and the greater possibility being able to interact with the NPC
    • It is also possible that you can return with a party and attempt the quest with a fresh start (after sharing the quest via group tab)
    • As a last resort you can try abandoning the quest and re-acquire it
Any of these tips can also apply to other quests or problems that you may have in the future, too.

Thank you for your continued interest and support!

    Warm Regards,
    The Elder Scrolls Online Team

I reported over 10 last night. I finally just started to ignore them. I almost feel that the auto tickets being opened is giving more workload to the CS team and people who need assistance are getting forgotten in the waves of gold seller tickets.

I wish they would disable this, I have feeling like my efforts causes another person to wait longer for a reply! Let us report them without opening a ticket!

Yeah, report & ignore on a drop down from their name, even if you add a confirmation popup it would beat the current iteration and give customer service a much needed filter on tickets unless the category of report spam already does so. Streamlining the process of "Oh I see a spammer" down to two clicks and I'm done is a much more preferable methodology of offering up feedback on individuals who do this stuff.

Most often I have to admit, I've just kept zone chat closed permanently so that all I see is guild chat, or if I'm not feeling social I can go to tab two to only see NPC chatter.
For all the millions of pages of codified law we have enacted in this nation alone, all of it, every word, sentence, paragraph and nuance, is steeped in the singular idea of this:

    "Be good to one another."

The problem with that is that as I said in the original post there *are* good reasons for them to send me e-mail. When I fell through the bottom of a dungeon in Cyrodiil and could not /stuck, travel or otherwise escape, I *wanted* their e-mail.

Without manually entering specific ticket numbers no filter can catch the Zenimax spam without requiring that I still go read it all to see if it was an issue I actually need a response on.

I could go on at length about shiny improvements I would like but just deciding that reporting spam does not need an e-mail response would be simple to implement and take almost no work on their part. (I code for a living and can safely say that if I had access to their reporting database I could write that filter no matter *what* they code in whereas a number of the things I can think of would actually require more design, coding and testing to implement.)

I know there are others who are having serious issues with support and thankfully I am not one of them. Like our resident cavetroll, however, I could not fail to see the irony that every spammer I report results in spam to my e-mail.

I too am at a point that reporting spammers isn't worth it. I can just keep ignoring the spammers in-game and by not reporting I also stop ZOS spam too.
