Multiple Feathers (The Good/Bad News)

For anyone wondering about the fragment system...

Good news: If you have multiple feathers of the same kind, only the first is put into the collection menu. The other(s) stay in inventory/bank. You aren't losing any feathers with this change.

Bad news: You can no longer buy additional feathers with your surplus tickets. $:\$

Does the icon still appear at the vendor indicating that you already own the berry or feather?

The icon on the vendor says that you cannot buy more.

So I guess that's the bad news. No more placing your feathers on a different toon to buy up backup feathers. We're coming to the end of this cycle, so hopefully that's not too much of a pita. Gotta find a diff way to spend your surplus tickets.

This is very unpleasant. Being able to collect feathers in advance was the best way to keep up with these events and make use of the tickets for what you really wanted. I already have what I need for the black Indrik and only need one more feather for the white one, but I was hoping to store feathers for a final Nascent Indrik so I'd have all of them. Given the slow rate of release for the onyx berries, its a bit of a pain that I cant spend tickets on extra feathers...

So does that mean that you cannot collect feathers to prepare for your next indrik while you are still collecting the berries to morph your current one? If so, that is a terrible change.

I agree - esp at the end where we're still going to want to unlock the nascent.

Hm. The original "good news" was simply that we hadn't lost the ones we had already gathered.

Does this happen when the item is in your bank, character inventory, or alt character inventory? In my experience, it only happens when my character is carrying the item.

I'm not sure what you mean? I had 2 emerald feathers. One went into the collection, the other stayed in my inventory.

You can collect the 4 feathers while having an Nascent Indrik.

But you can not collect a 5'th feather, did that during an previous event.
is on two berries and one feather now.

You have to log onto the character holding the items to move them to collection.
Same with undaunted keys.

You can still collect one set of feathers for the next Nascent Indrik while collecting berries to morph the current one, but you can no longer start collecting a second set of feathers.

I'm torn on this one. It's reassuring that you no longer can buy dupes accidentally, but at the same time it's annoying that you no longer can buy dupes when you want to.

I thought that they were unique and you had to drop one into bank/chest before acquiring second of the same color?

BTW do feathers and berries that are not in character's inventory stay where they are or do they go to the collections?

I first logged into a toon that didn't have a feather. So the collections pulled from my bank. Then I logged into another character which had a feather. That feather stayed in inventory.

Hopefully that clarifies?

.. or you're just been off game for a long hiatus and happen to return, but forgot a few things about the game; such as the feather thing. You know from back when, before your rage quitting the game for a while, that you did obtained all four feathers and believed you had deposited all four in the bank. You then dumbfoundly go into the wtf moment, and then decided to drop 10 more tickets into purchasing another feather; only to later realize (son-of-a-beach) that you have already used your previously acquired four feathers and transform it into the mount back when. You then slap yourself silly for forgetting and there is that extra feather sitting in your bank.

Just remember you need 4 more feather after that to unlock the nascent one last time.

True, but the nascent I have will morph into the black indrik during the 4th event of this quarter. Then, I can use the 4 feathers in my collection to create another nascent for the white indrik. Then, that frees up the feather slots in collections so I can start collecting feathers for a 5th nascent indrik. So, during the final quarter, I'll have a nascent ready while I'm collecting the white berries and can also get feathers for the 5th nascent.

But, that's just my case. Other players who are behind that pace won't be able to stock up on additional feathers if they have all four collected but not enough berries to morph their current nascent. I only noticed this last night, when I went to buy my third feather and saw that I couldn't buy any of the feathers already in my collection. I do think it's great that it prevents us from buying something we don't necessarily need, but it does prevent us from buying additional ones when we want to.

I was also disappointed when I saw this change. I already have 4 feathers ready to form my snow base indrik. I was looking to buy more feathers for final base mount after I bought this events berry. This is what I have been doing since the mount release. I havent missed a single ticket yet, but I suppose at this point I have no choice seeing as I cant progress further than I already am. It would be nice if the onyx pet could be released and remain from berry 1-4 though....

I like the change. They made it a lot easier to tell at a glance if you already have that feather or not. If you want more feathers, you can turn your feathers into a brown (nascent) indrik, and then you'll be able to get more feathers. There is zero issue with this.

It may not be an issue yet for many players who were behind anyway, or those who already got the nascent indrik for onyx color, and feathers for the white one. Rather, when next year's cycle starts either with a new mount/item or color variations. You won't be able to farm a 70 ticket anniversary month, and stock up with future feathers - making the rest of the year easier.
No, if you are a completionist, you will either be glued to the chair during every event from now on or pay.

Don't forget you can have a nascent indrik as well as up to 4 unused feathers in your collections and up to 12 tickets in your wallet. So that's 92 tickets worth of stuff saved towards future indriks, in addition to the berries.

Ideally I like to end each event with 10 tickets in my wallet (or as many as I can manage), just in case I'm not able to play much during the next event - as long as I can log in once I'll be able to pick up the berry at least. Then I start collecting tickets again and buy whatever else I need (usually a feather) and try to end with as many tickets as I can without skipping days. (That's never been an issue, but if I got to 12 tickets and there were, say, 3 days left when I could play I'd spend them and get another 6 on those 3 days rather than stop doing the event.)

I think, assuming future events are similar to previous ones, I'm on track to end the year with all 5 indriks. I've got the previous 2, a nascent to turn into the onyx, 2 onyx berries and 1 feather, and I should have 12 tickets again by the end of this event. So I'll need 130 tickets (for 6 berries and 7 feathers), minus the 12 I'll already have that's 118. Assuming an average of 20 tickets per event it will take me 5.9 events to get them, and there's 6 left (assuming 1 event per berry). If I remember correctly so far no event has given fewer than 20 tickets, so that should allow some wiggle room for when I inevitably miss days due to life happening.

(Also this may be wishful thinking but I suspect this system is the first sign we've had from ZOS that indrik feathers and berries will be available after the end of the year. It seems odd to go to all the hassle of including them in the new system if they're only going to be in the game for another 5 months and each player will only collect each item once or twice. Of course it's possible they've had so many support tickets from people accidentally buying useless duplicates that they thought it was worth it, but I'm hoping it means the indrik collections will stick around.)
