PURCHASABLE SKILL LINE PRICES

Just like with the skyshard purchase, the price is half of what I expected. I think 1 skill line every 2 months of eso+ with crowns to spare is good 👏
I've been wrong before, and I'll be wrong again.

Per character its a rip off.
Given how many build recomend things from pvp psigic figthers guild and undaunted skill ines to pay that for EVERY alt you could by almost all the major houses with that fully furnished even.

Id rather watse my time than money, and with many addons doing said skilsl isnt all that hard either.

Per Character is not a rip-off, when you can get the skill lines for free by actually playing the game on that character.

Looks like they want you to play the game rather than buy the skill line, and I am absolutely fine with that.

Its fine, The only shady one there is the vamp/WW cure, since you can get that in-game for 600 gold just by talking to an NPC.
It actually says that on the crown store description, but...

    Newbie trap. Tsk tsk.

Worth for the *** Psijic Grind.

Whoever made that grind needs to be fired.

Paying 3k crowns for something you can do sub 2 hours is straight up stupid.

IMO, selling skilllines is straight-up terrible for the game, if you want something you should have to do something for it.
I understand doing it 10+ times is annoying, but well its part of building your character and character-progression.
Personally Ive done psijic, mage-guild, undaunted etc. at least 16 times by now and I have to say its not that bad once you know what youre doing.
But I guess ZOS wants to exploit the instant gratification-crowd and earn some $$$ along the way.
If they had implemented it for gold or other ingame currency Id be fine with it, but the way its implemented is just a lazy cashgrab by ZOS.

Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

All MMOs slowly make old content easier for new players and tbh, I think most of these are fairly cheap. Plus there are only 2-3 must have lines.

IMO fine for the game because like the plumber said, "the reason the bill is $100 is not the .10 screw replaced but knowing which screw to replace." Based on the quality of players Ive seen lately pug tanking dungeons, you could give them ALL the skills and ALL the skillpoints necessary for 5 crowns and it wouldn't help. The good players know how to grind these things efficiently and multiply already.

To the pricing aspect, as someone 80% done with all skill lines on 5 combat characters and no dog in the fight, LOL, just another example of how poorly the crown store wares are priced from a business standpoint. They truly have no clue about proper price points. Yes, a handful of people will pay 3000 crowns for one skill line on one toon, tens of thousands would pay 500 per toon, and end up spending far more $$ in the long run. Same for so much crown store stuff. About to finish up riding training on my toons once and for all. Would have spent significant $$ shortening that were the lessons well-priced. As it is they got nada.

If this game didn't have the IP it has backing it would be long gone.

Good for the game? It’s only good for ZOS’ and Bethesda wallets. Meanwhile the game still runs like trash. This is without even mentioning the P2W BS that this brings into the game.

Undaunted is the only one that takes more than a couple hours to grind through, so its the one I would be most likely to get. I’ve already done it many times on other characters, don’t know if I want to do it on last 4 characters. I also have a max level character still in the Wailing Prison. I supposed that I could max out some skill lines they’d never get otherwise.

Yeah having maxed out skill lines at low levels before you normally would have naturally maxed them is kind of bogus.
You should at least have to level the skill line after purchase.

It's good, they will make more money from those that dont want to level these themselves. I personally love to level these skilllines myself so I see no point to spend anything on it at all. But the fact that others will does not take anything away from my experience, so I dont mind.

I'm sure some players think its worth the money.

As for me, I think I'll just hunt for glowing overdue library books, run circles around the Alikr Dolmens, and join the Psijic Order's Gran Annual Scavenger Hunt.

About the only one worth it in terms of time/effort is Undaunted, or if you really hate PVP, maybe Alliance War.

You still need to have already done AW skill line all the way to even buy that skill line. My StamNecro have access to Caltrops and I can still not buy that skill line as it is not fully ranked up.

Honestly it feels that you need to have an add on to even know which toon that have achievement that make it possible to buy those skill lines.

My point is that if new players buy this, they will probably oversee many skills active or passive that are essential to their gameplay. This will lead to the creation of more noobs that are oblivious to game mechanics, they'll scream for nerfs on forums and could potentially ruin the somewhat existing game balance.

But dont you have to have leveled the skill manually on another character first? Doesnt this protect against "new players turning super noob" argument?

That is surprisingly low. I had expected the lines to be expensive enough to be a difficult decision between actually playing the content vs. paying to skip it.

ETA: I’d like to see the Psijic line priced lower than the others since it’s already behind a pay wall.

And its like 2 hours mindeless running around ... Its like zero fun to do the skillline ...

Big fat LOL @ everyone crying about pricing. What did you expect, 1000 crowns per line?

3k is a decent point imho, not too expensive if you want to get a specific line leveled right away but not so cheap that people can just decide to buy all 4 major lines and smurf their way through lowbie PvP. Convenience has a cost.
