This would be perhaps easiest thing ever to implement and there is really no excuse: If person is in offline mode, don't broadcast his/hers raid score. If I wanna be left alone, I basically can't raid in veterans, why? Put it to lists if must, but take it out of broadcasting to friends/guildies, thanks.

    if you dont want your score to show when you complete a raid, just enter the instance after people have entered then no score will show up for you

    I thought everybody already turned off those notification. I mean when you are member of several guilds it's quite tiresome to receive those notifications non-stop...

    It effects like this:

    I want to be invisible in game for any reason, but if I go veteran raid, my score there shows=it reveals I was actually online. Tbh one choice would put showing the score also optional alltogether.

    OP wants to appear offline while raiding, but the raid score announcement reveals to everyone that they are online.

    Yes, but it only shows if it's your best score in that trial/arena in that patch.
    Curious about daily crafting writ rewards and refinement rates? Spreadsheet showing years of writs and refining data!

    if you do vma on your main and you get a 500k score and then you go and do it again and you get a 498k score it won't notify anyone

    Well, in raids it shows score no matter what

    trial = raid. And no, it doesn't.

    I repeat, the only time a notification will go out, is if it's your best score in that trial or arena that patch.

    I'm confused.

    You want to be seen as invisible but you join 11 other people in doing a trial. Do they also want to remain invisible and you guys all make a pact to do the trial with your eyes closed?
    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    I think they are trying to say enter the instance after the group kills the first NPC which is often trash mobs for most of the trials though not all. I think it works that way and is the only think I can think they were trying to say but just said it wrong.

    I do not see how this is a big deal as hiding to that degree seems to have some dishonesty involved as in you told one group you would not be able to play on Tuesday but you were really raiding with another group behind their backs.

    I think what they mean is that if you port into trial right after ppl go on, you dont get a score, so none will be broadcasted.

    However leaderboards are public knowledge, so ppl are gonna find out eventually. If you are in offline mode ppl cant msg u anyway, and if ppl do see ur score they know ur busy raiding and shouldnt be bothering u anyways.

    If you are just trying to hide from other ppl who you made promises to raid with, you should just come clean, no one respects a liar.

    LOL I love that in internet people are actually judging me for wanting to be offline mode and wondering why and how dishonest person I am. Simply, if Im offline mode, I don't wanna be seen even I do raid, and its not hard to implement. Also I hate questions like "why you was in offline mode" which happen because of this.

    If talking about MMO worlds, which Old God is it that announces peoples scores to guildmates and friends? :D Lets stick to the lore and not use magical means to see what other people is doing.

    To the people asking why--Some of us just don't want to get bombarded with whispers while in a trial. The guilds I'm in tend to ignore online statuses and notes, so the alternative without seeming to be a jerk is to just hide my online status because it's quick, painless, and I have time to get my stuff together and organized before we even start. Almost everyone in the progression group does it because we want to limit the amount of outside distractions.

    I don't mind the notification though, so that's where I differ on that.
