They don’t always target the tank though. Sometimes they miss the taunt, so the tank pulls adds away from my healer. I love it, because I love not dying.
I’ve seen tanks use leashes to pull ranged adds into a pile for easier DPS stacking.

I've found them to be useful to pull errant mobs to me in combat to stop them harassing squishy players while I'm tanking the boss. Being that my tank is a NB, Silver Leash fits the bill2 -

Pulls are essential for tanks to pull them inn to increase group dps.
DK tend to be very annoying to fight in PvP because they are very tanky, not often I have been pulled however.
In small scale you can usually get away again and in large scale its rarely used, all tend to focus on doing damage to other group. An organized group could probably make use of it but zerg against organized group you die anyway, synchronizing ultimate works better.
Now if its one thing I want to nerf the hell out of its bombers, group bombing from an group should obviously be devastating.
Honorable mention to the DK who tried to pull one out guild group on a resource flag.
Saw something moving fast into AoE and DK killed +1, he had the wrong morph
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0 -

Actually, that is not the case. Only PvE melee mobs will come to you. PvE ranged mobs will stay scattered around the perimeter of fight even when taunted. PvE enemies tend to get close enough to attack players but no closer. Using skills to pull ranged mobs into player group is a critical part of PvE tanking.1 -
