Anybody know the release date for update 23? I searched a lot of sites and articles, but nothing.

    August 12 for PC, August 27 for Console

    No doubt he'd one of the people on the forum crying about how he took the day off and can't because of a 10 hour maintenance. :p

    the day of will be a bit slow because of downloading the patch and people scrambling around blaming ZoS because their build doesn't work anymore even though they refuse to change it or learn anything.

    Not important enough to skimp work over [sadly, as work = your literal only purpose in life is what we're taught], i'd just wait for the weekend/ take a day off 1 or 2 after so it's not as laggy. Personally i'm waiting for a friend to return from a vacation to tackle the vdungeons.

    Take a day off On Wednesday. Patch maintenance with a new DLC usually takes around 10-12 hours. For EU servers will be briefly up late in the evening, then an exploit bug will be discovered, triggering another maintenance. After that the game will be up all night while the forums will be peppered with posts about ESO not connecting to Steam, extreme lag, rubber banding, bugs galore. ZOS will kindly wait another 10 hours to perform yet another maintenance after which the game will be just about playable by Tuesday evening (EU).

    You can try and play the game on Wednesday although keep in mind that the playability of the game will be a really vague concept for around 2 weeks, when we discover that the new patch broke the game as usual.

    Patience my friend.

    Lol so true. Don't do it! take off Thursday and Friday like me!

    EDIT: that being said its only a dungeon DLC not a zone and if i remember correctly there in not usually any issues on these ones. well as far as servers going down

    For 2 to 3 days, yes.

    The daily quests will flip over a couple hours before maintenance. I am staying up to get my 2 event tickets before maintenance. That way I will not miss out on anything if patch day is a lost day due to maintenance or issues.

    I am also farming VMA as much as I can. While I guess we will all eventually figure out these new changes that emphasize single-target DoTs over everything else, it might take a while. This is not just a normal "replace nerfed skill X with similar skill Y" kind of patch. It feels like a fundamental change in the flow and style of combat. This event is likely to be long over before I find a new class/skills/gear that works well, not to mention time getting comfortable and effective with the new build.

    No but at a guess, 19th or some week there after for PC
    and hell no you do not need to get the day of, never ever try to book a patch day off, as it is more likely to be a no play due to servers down day, followed by 'waiting on the patch download'

    ps4 might be more stable...ive never had a first day issue...
