Everyone has to deal with the RNG.
Your choosing to gamble if you refine your mats, do what others do who don't like the RNG, sell the raw mats, for a fixed profit let others gamble.

Then I have good news for you: you are already being treated like everyone else.
We all have the same chances of getting gold mats.
You're not happy with the RNG so you go to, "they are DISCRIMINATING against ME."
There is no issue. EVERYONE has to deal with RNG; some days it is good to us (US), most days it is bad.
That's just the way it is; that is how it is intended to function. For all of us; YOU are not being singled-out.
This is not something unique to ZOS; if you think it is, then you are either very young, or you don't play very many current video games.
If they (the gaming industry, in general) weighted RNG in our (OUR) favor, then we'd all get everything we wanted without much effort and sooner rather than later wouldn't have a reason to keep playing these loot-hunt kind of games.
It's possible you haven't received a response to your reports/tickets...
...maybe because they (ZOS) see your "complaint" as frivolous. (You're just grumpy about an aspect of the game that is working as it's supposed to.)
(though practically-speaking, if you simply didn't respond to the canned auto-reply then your "issue" doesn't get elevated to a real person. You must respond to that initial response in order for them to flag it as still active. Otherwise they assume it has resolved and they close the ticket and move on to the next ticket in the mountain of support requests that they receive.)

Really? Please, tell me, how many times have you refined over 4 thousand Ancestor silk, and received just 1 D. wax? 3k Platinum Dust, and gotten 2 Chromium? No? Hmm. Guess it's not the same. Oh, and please, provide pictures. I have mine, you bring yours.

@ShadowWolf44
I know this may seem hard to believe but there isn't a conspiracy against your account.
ZoS doesnt have an employee that sits there and gives one acount better RNG than others and another account zero chance to get something.
Always refine on a character with maxed crafting. Seems to have a better chance.
If you have other characters with max points in crafting, try refining on a different one. I've had one character that SEEMED to get better RNG than others at tiles but in the end its just all RNG.
Also don't refine on a station in a guild hall or house. Rumor has it you get better RNG on stations out in the world.
I've no proof to back that up or any of these rumors really but I've heard people say it.

Optionally, you can sell raw mats they are expensive and give you much better ratio then 1:500.
Yeah, I agree here- I don't think it's unreasonable for OP to be upset with that absurd ratio. If they were upset about this after a week or so of that drop rate that's one thing, but if OP's drop rate over years is 1 in 500.... yeah. Short-term RNG is one thing but the whole point is that over a period of time you'll hit a certain average (Central Limit Theorem). If you're not hitting that value after years, there's something wrong wither either the RNG or the underlying average.
That said... calling it discrimination is ridiculous.
It seems as if more people agree that it's a normal ratio, do perhaps you are on thepre lucky side?
I should apologize. Not about the discrimination aspect, because there is much, much more to that aspect, than I was willing to go into, as my post was overly long already. That being said, I should have left that for another time.
If everyone in the game was getting between 1:300, 1:500, I wouldn't have made a post. Maybe, the people posting that this is the same ratio they are getting, just proves that there IS an issue. With the facts being, after researching it online, that the majority of people are getting 1 gold drop, on average, 1:150-1:200, then maybe the RNG isn't calibrated correctly.
I mean, sure, I could just attribute it to "bad luck", except it effects my progress in the game. Was this the intention of RNG? No. RNG, is supposed to make it fair for everyone. If this is not happening, the very least Zos could do, is look into it. Which they've never once done. They've never even asked me for some of the hundreds of screenshots I know have, backing me up.
I don't think this is asking too much.

Ever. Most times, all I receive, is a CGR, which, many times, has nothing to do with the report that I filed.
This leads to having to post in the forums, where people attack/ridicule/demean the post, or act like I'M the problem. I really don't comprehend this at all. The only thing it can be, is discrimination. Maybe because I linked other platforms, and they don't agree with my POV.
All I know, is this, my avg. refining gold drops, are around 1:600 and worse. Sure, I've had a few times, over the last few years, where I actually hit the 1:150-200 range. Maybe 3 times. In 3 years. Then again, one time, after refining a little over 4k Raw Ancestor Silk, I got 1 gold. ONE. Now, I fail to see why I should have to accept this garbage, or not post about it in the forum, hoping , that one day, Zos may actually DO SOMETHING.
The closest I've EVER gotten to an answer from them, was this: "Oh, don't worry, it will average out over time". I got that answer about 2 years ago. NOTHING'S changed. They have nothing that they put out, that lists what the RNG range is supposed to be, we have to get that from other players. I farm A LOT. I'm sick of it now. Tonight, I refined over 3300 clothcraft mats, I got 10 gold. For the mathmatically illiterate, that's 1:330. The time before, around 4k, I got 8. That's 1:500. Needing 8 gold, for each piece of equipment, maybe people can see, why I don't have any gold equipment.
And I've been crafting since I began. I only have enough to maybe do 1-2 full sets. I have 9 toons. And I need the others, for Master Writs. I've spoken to many people about this. Everyone can go through a short "dry spell", I get it. Mines never ended. At this rate, it will take 10+ YEARS, to get what I need for other toons. Longer.
So, why does Zos just continue to ignore this issue? I mean, damn, they don't even respond to reports anymore. Jewelry rates are worse. It all comes down to me having to BUY mats, and I just don't have that much gold for all of it.
The ONLY thing I've ever asked for, is to be treated like everyone else. period. I didn't know I could screenshot, if I'm fast enough, the crafting page. But I DID, eventually, figure it out. I HAVE Pictures now. I've offered these. No one responds.
I'm just at a loss, I guess. No clue what else I can do, other than maybe calling the consumer affairs offices, who are dealing with the "Loot Box" issues. Maybe they can find an answer. I'll post the link, on how that's turning out, below.
I remember the days, when, if we had an issue of this nature, they would bend over backwards, to make it right. And, most times, they did. For a 20 buck video game.
I guess it's just all about the money now. Sad.
Refine batches larger than 10k, make the linear average work for you, not against. Small batches will be much more spotty in returns.
At 10k my returns are 55 to 70 a batch of gold mats. That is for all types of raws. I do 40k about every 2-3 weeks.
Hmm, never done 10k. I usually begin refining around 4k, this time, however, I was around 7k. People sure have tried every trick in the book, it seems.
One time, when I posted on something similar, I was told to not refine "too quickly", because there is a program that will shut you down, thinking your a bot, doing the refining..so they have a defense against that. Not sure that's the case, but, since there really isn't any information, nor full explanations, on RNG, anything's possible.
The Dilbert post, may be the reality. And, makes more sense, than Zos ever has.
