It would be minor changes. Like many other games. Major still every 3 months.
Even minor changes still require evaluation and testing for end-game players and score runners. You wouldn't believe how many hours I spent on PTS just testing vMA dw changes ... And it was just 1 thing out of many others.
Right. But those who are serious about endgame on any level usually reroll their build to the next meta with ease due to the large amount of gold required.
And who do you thing brings this "meta"? It's not something that pops out of the blue. Many players dedicate a lot of time to come up with ideas and test new approaches etc. And it's not about gold, it's about time invested. I remember when "meta" was discovered like 2 weeks before the new update.

Alcast bro. Let him do the work for you.
Well as its looks like its another major train wreck as usual I would vote for one every decade or less.Wolf_Watching wrote: »I mean with all this standardization... It is insane that we couldn't start weekly or bimonthly combat balance updates instead of a bomb every 3 months.
Agree or Disagree that this is probably needed for proper balancing?
AcadianPaladin wrote: »I don't accept the premise that 'balancing' is necessary. Or productive. And attempts to do so are clearly not successful.
I've been playing for three years and the game was not balanced when I started playing. It was fun though.
Three years and many 'balance updates' later, is the game balanced? Of course not. Yet the turmoil of heavy handed nerfs and changes that make no sense and/or pit PvP vs PvE has certainly made me dread every single 'balance update' because each and every one of them has absolutely made my game less enjoyable.
Just stop with the futile attempts that stir the pot and cause trauma but improve nothing.
/end rant.

Given the current audit seems to be focused on making things more balanced in general... that's probably their goal as well.
Impractical since consoles charge a lot just to roll out updates. If eso was only on pc im sure it would be a thing.
Pardon, but it is also impractical to anyone who doesn't have infinite data usage for their internet or slower internet in general. Which is a lot of people. Every update there are players in my guilds who can't play for several days because they can't download the update.
If the internet finally becomes the public utility it should have been set up as decades ago, maybe, MAYBE this will be reasonable.

Lots of powerful sets to sell content. CP obviously but that effect is old.SassiestAssassin wrote: »Can we just have patches that are well thought out? None of this ‘we’re going to roll out these changes then change the content to fit later.’
lol. On live our characters are so much stronger than they were a few years ago. Some have blamed CP but we have seen with the CP freeze it is just poor management of the game by Zos. It does nothing but trivialize the game and existing content.
Of course Zos said last year they were working on codifying their vision for combat in the game which is what we are seeing implanted this year. Something that should have been done over 5 years ago.
If they did it right then we will not have these heavy handed changes next year and into the future. If not then we know the influence of MattF's vision for this game will continue to impede the development team as it has since before the game launched.
Time will tell.

Better players, this and an evolving meta and better guides is probably the major effect.

Better players lol. 99% of the people cannot get thru Vet MSA lolololololololol.
Didn’t they say at Quakecon that they were reworking the whole patching process—removing redundancies and lowering overall patch size? That’s not quite what you’re after, but it’s a step in the right direction if they ever decide to do faster incrementals.
