✭✭NoNo all OP idea will do is slow down those who are already rich for a few weeks at most.
Do you really imagine a players wealth is measured by the amount of gold in their inventory/bank alone? Your forgetting their craft bag, all the mats they have stockpiled, all those raw mat surveys they have sitting in their banks they have not seen the point in doing.
(and if ZOS were ever stupid enough to touch the craft bag, the thing most subscribe to ESO plus for, they would lose a lot of paying customers)
Sure give everyone a million gold, it will be the same players as before supplying all the items people need to buy, they will hand all that redistributed wealth straight back to the rich.
Sure take away players millions/maybe even billions of gold that some long term players have accumulated over the years, you can't take away their knowledge and existing infrastructure to make more gold.
At the end of such an experiment, all those players who get handed the 1 Million gold will quickly waste it and be broke again and after getting gold handed to them once they will put their hands out again and expect more.
It's that old story of giving people a fish instead of teaching them how to fish.

I'm not against giving gold to new players, but hey, that's what the daily rewards are for

Wouldn't the economy be worse if all those people putting tons of gold into trader bids suddenly didn't have to? It is the biggest gold sink in the game. Without it you would be stopping billions of gold from leaving the game.PC/EU DC2 -
