In some way botting must be easier in this game than i thought.
Imagine for example what a player could do if he had access to a tool to warp his character underground like the mining bots...
This has impact on pvp gameplay too. (Teleport, Map hack, See other players postions)
Another point to think about is: why are there so many bots, this time round goldfarmers can even talk, create guilds etc.
In my opinion there are to many customers, someone is buying the gold and services. Else there would be no business.
I consider it cheating, but in part this is due to extreme costs of nearly everything (Bank Space, Bag Space, Mounts, Repair Costs, respec)
For example if i try difficult content, like undermanning content, i sometimes have to stop because i run out of gold. The easy way out would be to buy gold, and obviously lots of people are taking that way...
- Zenimax should massively improve their cheat detection
- also every seller AND buyer should be permanently banned
- why *** are there no authenticators, these farmers are a major security risk too
Do all of these bosses drop a blue? I stayed and killed one about 10 times, and often I got nothing but a soul gem, and rarely got a green item.
My husband is 71 and wasted time on early quests that were unable to be completed. He no longer wants to try. And if it was just one problem, but it's so many. I am trying hard to keep him in game but I fear that time has gone. This is a time we should be playing together as we always do in games but I am on forums and he is netflixbinging.shadyjane62 wrote: »We stopped doing quests, too buggy, stopped doing dungeons too many bots, stopped doing crafting, the banks are unreliable and the nodes disappear too fast to get the items, the loot is too small and worthless for us to accumulate much. Hard to keep a clear track of any chat since they make pictures with bits and bytes and fill the entire chat window.
So any suggestions as to what my husband can actually do in game? So many things here but unable to do any of them. Have been through many launches, this by far the worst.
Can you elaborate on why you completely stopped questing due to bugs?
I know that my experience is not the same as everybody else's, but I am now level 43 and I have encountered only a single quest that was rendered unable to be completed due to a bug. I've completed nearly 300 other quests.

I wouldn't say they are ruining my experience but they sure are making it tough regards runes especially. I agree that they have far more pressing issues to address as the bots are just an annoyance at the moment and I haven't failed once to do a world boss because of them and I have played all classes to at-least level 12 and 1 to level 30.
Im pretty sure ZM is working on it , but these things take time ... if it gets to annoying for you maybe wait a month or two and then come back and see if they have fixed it , i have personally nothing againts people that farm bosses its the way it has been done for ages .... but what i do hate is people using keyboard cheats/ bots to farm bosses.
The bots are acutally quite easy to spot, report get your kill and move on.
I dont know but if they were to make the bosses spawn in random locations in a random pattern maybe that would help with the bots ?
well I have been online 45 mins reported over 20 bots in Dhalmora. The emails I receive after reporting them are flagged as solved within 2 minutes of me sending them..yet you still see the same bot warping around..so someone is incorrect.
For me this is becoming a joke bots have been around for over 15 years doing the same thing yet it seems with the amount of money that mmo companies pile into MMO's they do nothing to prevent the high volume of bots in a new released game, yet this is common knowledge that it always happens.
Please sort these vermin out and ban the players (wouldn't call them that but keeping it polite) who buy from them as they are the ones who are encouraging the farmers in the first place,no market = 0 bots
What is so sad is that a demand exists for these services. It boggles the mind at how much disposable income is spent on these services just to save time or stroke that epeen.
I'm waiting for a game to come out that offers fully equipped, maximum level characters as part of the super-duper box set for only US$800. I bet a whole lot of whales would buy it :'(

You will not receive a real response when reporting another player.
The email you receive is the result of an automated system which is simply providing you confirmation that your report has been received. In order for any action to be taken, the account that has been reported must be investigated, which takes time.
Not only that, but disciplinary actions are never shared with anyone besides the person being reprimanded, therefore you will never be told if they were banned, muted, etc. This is to protect players and their personal information.
Just clearing that up. The reason you receive such a quick response is because it's simply an automated confirmation, and there's nothing else that can be said aside from 'we'll look into it'.
And...
How about loot chests? For me its like 1-2 per hours of gameplay in open world, used to be 1-2 every 15-20mins!
This is bots fault or i'm just unlucky?

And before you argue, yes it was very obvious they were bots. Travelling straight lines, stopping at exactly the same spot at exactly the same time for the ones that weren't lagging behind a few feet. All templars in the starting prison gear, all with names like llffdkkk, fffpffnn, etc.
