How do you prefer that ZOS address changes to skills?

Was curious if most players favor the sort of sweeping changes that are happening in the next patch, or something else.

✭Large-scale, sweeping changes, such as the coming patch or the widespread sustain nerfs with MorrowindWhat they are doing now is essentially a partial redesign of the combat system. If they did it bit by bit, they would knowingly introduce imbalances temporarily instead of removing them.
There is a time for both approaches, but when your goal is to move some of the power of skill A to skill B instead, you don't change skill A one patch and skill B the next patch, you change them both in one patch. And you don't change them twice for half the amount because that is twice as much work.
This is what's happening here. Damage was moved from AoEs to single target DoTs. That is the bulk of the changes on PTS.3 -

✭✭✭OtherThey need to stop trying to balance for both PvE and PvP. These are two different situations.
Balancing for PvE is easier because the target is mostly static or can be altered (i.e., they are monsters with powers and AI in specially created arenas -- all of which ZOS can change if necessary if adjusting powers is not enough).
Balancing for PvP has too many variables because of what players can combine and their strategies.
PvP is better handled with a proper system of leagues, sorting players into leagues where their combination of personal ability plus loadout give them good fights.

Biggest issue, that everyone knows, is the fact that balancing between pve and pvp is nearly impossible. Satisfying one party ends up in giving the other party the shorter end of the stick. Solution would be changing All skills once you enter a pvp area, OR simply add an extra pvp morph to each skill. Either of these options would result in less whining.
I'm playing since little after launch, and love the game, and have adapted every patch, but the changes they are making at this rate are just absurdPC EU, Guildleader of "Death By Gargoyle".3 -

Seems to have mainly pvp in mind at the end of the day, should take your time and balance both and think pve is the larger side of the base right now, so hoping it goes smoother then it seems to be going1 -

ZOS, just leave skills alone in PVE and if you can't have them work differently in PVP then just forget it, stop pandering to the minority (PVP) at the expense of the majority (PVE).4 -

✭OtherI would rather they work on bug fixes, eg when I enter a dungeon and start fighting, I notice after weapon swapping that my bow is between my legs on the floor and my hands are empty. how about when players are walking on top of their mounts? and i'm sure there are many other bugs. the list is longPC EU - Steam client0 -

The overwhelming majority of PVE players never do content where any of these changes matter.
Infact nerfing PVE actually makes 99% of it far more interesting. The overland content, and like 90% of vet dungeons are a joke with how easy they are. I don't even have PVE specific gear and I beat most of them with PUGs on my first try. With a semi-decent group I got all the achievements as well. If these changes make the content a little harder, then good I welcome that change especially when I'm questing.
The PVE changes only affects like 2% of PVE players who do end game content, and are not actually good enough like the top 1% who steam roll anything regardless, demonstrating the content is still humanly complete-able.
ZOS shouldn't hold the rest of the game hostage so these 2% of players don't want to L2P to adapt to changes and get better.
