How is magden and magcro on PTS?

Magnecro has the highest parses I've seen on magicka this patch and magden is actually doing pretty good.

The magden rotation still sucks, but all magicka rotations kind of suck this patch. I threw together a setup this morning and did a couple of quick tests ... I actually think a setup like this has the potential to get around ~95k with some CP optimization and practice:

Still shouldn't take magden anyway. It's group utility is horrible.

Given a normal-ish current group comp of NB main tank, DK off tank, Templar healer, Warden healer ... what group utility does *any* DPS bring that's even close to comparing with Major Vulnerability?

Like, why bring a stamsorc, magsorc, stamDK, magDK, magplar, stamplar, stamblade, or magblade? No real point.

Magdens bring AoE Major Breach, Frost Cloak, Permafrost, and in the setup I posted, the Mystic Orb synergy.

All parses are irrelevant until Major Vulnerability ceases to exist *or* every other class gets some sort of huge group buff on their damage ulti.

This. This is a Necromancer patch the way it stands. The debuff is too powerful and given that it can be used in sequence it creates a massive incentive to have a raid full of Necros.

yea just look at any number of the "end game" Guild's ESO logs and you see a full Stamcro crew of dps. Sad really that that's where it has gone. I for one wouldn't mind seeing Necro stumble a bit in order to open the doors once again for the other Classes. But I run with my Guild and am welcome to bring what I want so its a moot argument for me but still kinda sucks overall.

Ofc it will perform well with end game gear. The problem how to get it. How you will find spot in trials as magica necro or warden dps?
All this pro youtubers making their guides on static raid dumy with pts golden gear ....
Do you actualy see one of them posting a real boss fight dps ? I dont. So please.
Both necro and warden are great for aoe. Thats all. IMO.
For ST any other class is better.

Speaking of that -- what actually procs Nature's Gift? Surely Budding Seeds does/will, including its new HoT. But does Lotus? Or the Lifesteal from Vines?

Maybe because pro youtubers run meta classes in real trials. Meaning stamcros, Magplars mostly. And it’s not hard to find a video of them running real trials on those classes.

And all golden end game gear is completely normal by the way.

while i can't be certain on the lifesteal from leeching vines, i know that all other Green Balance healing will. Lotus does but is undesirable because you're giving up a skill slot to gain a buff you already will have. which is major prophecy.

Yeah, that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Complete and total newbies with no characters past level 10 can spend an hour making enough gold to max upgrade a piece of non jewelry gear. Its not hard at all golding all armor and weapons.

And I've seen many magden and magcro in vet trials.

no. the heal is still not needed and it's only 12.5% of your max health with 1.5% every tick for 5 seconds. it's still absurdly expensive and does no damage. i suggest using flame clench. try running a new DoT build which fire staff buffs.

The point of testing on the raid dummy is to establish a theoretical maximum for single target DPS.

If you want to see what magnecro or magden DPS looks like in a "real boss fight", then put a raid together on PTS and test it yourself.

I've halved percentages because of battle spirit. But yeah. This was a buff.

I disagree a little about Major Prophecy. Inner Light is serious bar clutter to me, I don't always chug expensive pots, and we I do I something like to have options other than crit in the mix. That said, since Sorcery is a given for magden, Crit/Magicka/Health pots are indeed attractive.
