Why would 2 skill that do the same thing do differant damage and cost differant i mean more than a few % of differance

Im all for diversity i have 18 character(14 dps, 2 heal and 2 tank) and all of them have differant set/build since i dont want them to be the same
But cost and dammage of similar abilitoes should be similar

The damage and costs might be different but what about the morphs? The skill morphs are the real kicker. Skills and passives should be looked at wholelistically, not just the math because player behavior is based on more than just the math, but how are the skills actually used in practice.

So glad I'm getting out of this game... It's a straight waste of time, when they just change everything every few months. Feel bad for the people who have lived their lives on a video game for years and have nothing to show for it. I've played for about 2 months and honestly see no point in playing anymore, I learn and now have to learn all over. Is this something you all enjoy? I'd rather spend time with my family and real friends.

It was not always this way. But we now have a combat lead whose primary concern is PvP and is burning away all of the pve players.

In terms of PVE yes. I don't like this direction.

In PVP we'll have the same rule as ever: get a cheese build until it's nerfed to Oblivion.

what they make is to make sure certain skill have the same rule and worth as other.
all skill will be worth using and certain skill not too good that everybody would be use that.
    .
    .
how the *** more skill to use = boring
whilst use the same f-in skill pool that everybody use = not boring

...and it all started with the 'harmless' nerf of Reflective Scales.

NOW YOU'LL ALL PAY!!!!!! They should have renamed it too, to Butterfly Reflect.

Um...this game, especially for stamina, already offers little to no diversity, maybe even less.
Everyone uses the same skills- with one or two flex spots- and the same gear (for their respective class.)
Some people might occasionally use different builds, but in the end they revert back to the generic meta because it's the most effective.

All this is doing is giving people the option to add some flavor to their build instead of being so generic.

I agree, the changes are for the best even though my playstyle was nerfed and I was upset over that. I'm looking forward to this update hitting live, plus hopefully it'll improve game performance.

Nerfing a good morph cause the other one sucks is not a good way to make irrelevant skill relevant. You need to first know why the skill is not used then review the role you want that power to fill and then buff it up to be more competitive.

Class passives are too weak, CP is too strong, only 3-4 dots to choose from that all behave almost exactly the same no matter what class you are and are now stronger than in class skills.

Delete CP % based advantages then provide more synergies within classes by buffing already existing passives like +10% Shock/Physical damage for Sorc, + 10% Fire/Poison Damage for DK, etc.

Buff in class passives to synergize a little better with in class abilities to promote slotting them for extra benefits, eg Burning Light for Templars which makes slotting Shards or Puncturing Sweeps advantageous even if other universal abilities do similar damage and cost.

Introduce even more abilities that work outside Classes for different damage types, but work a little better per class because of the above proposed change. This would make Spellcrafting more viable than the current context of the game, if it was introduced right now people would say "Everyone build this _____ ability since it's the strongest." To be fair, this is how a meta works, but it could look more like this: "Sorc's could spell craft a Single Target dot in shock damage since they do +10% shock damage and get back resources from Shock damage (kinda like DK's)"

Warden's could do an extra 20% Frost damage, currently Frost is a utility/tanking tool, with that passive alone and no CP, Warden's could slot Frost Reach and Frost Blockade and whatever future Frost skill, making them the defacto Frost Mage Class people have been asking for, but still allowing Frost to behave as a utility/tanking damage type for other classes.

Ez pz lemon squeezy. The changes are for the best, no sense in skills being broken, classes need to be buffed, it's a road to recovery, unfortunately we're along for the ride. I'm looking forward to more abilities and more choices like they always advertised for this game, yet could never accomplish.

For anyone thinking these changes mean they're closer to deleting classes.. they won't ever do that because this is a business and they ultimately need revenue, classes = replay value. You know how many time's I've thought "Well maybe I should buy some crowns to get this mount to match my Sorc or buy this outfit because it would look good with my DK." Countless times in the past 5 years. Not to mention the time investment it takes to create and manage alts. It keeps you playing and spending more money.

I know it's a dark time right now for ESO in term of combat, but I'd love to see how ZOS can take this groundwork and build upon it. I still have my faith in them, but I wish there were many ppl like me.

I rarely play anymore, but I do like to rile the masses on the forums while I drop the kids off at the pool.

I also like Taco Bell, which gives me a twenty percent increased chance to drop the kids off at the pool.

Anyone remember dark flare builds? Blazing shield builds? Total dark that damaged stupidity?

Magplar used to be a great class for punishing *** or complacency. Nerfed dark flare and wrecking blow and snipe because burst potential and players apparently couldn't block? Then they rebuffed snipe and wrecking blow to almost barely nerfed in the first place...flare is still over 30% weaker...what is WB now like 5% total nerf over two patches?....
