Crossplay would be the ideal solution, but the implementation could be a mess depending on how they structured the databases.
Then I’d lose the account I’ve been playing for years because after the genius movers the military uses for PCsing broke both my husband and my gaming computers, we decided not to deal with that every 3 years. Consoles turn out to be much hardier. Maybe don’t assume that getting a brand new gaming computer is feasible for all of us console plebs?

I understand it isnt feasible. But unfortunately sometimes have to unload the boat a bit to get it full blast ahead.
What do you mean, there aren’t many players on console? Our populations on console are very healthy (save, perhaps, for the EU PVP campaigns), and dare I say it, even slightly overcrowded. I actually waited a few weeks when Elsweyr dropped before playing in the zone, because having so many players crowded around quest-givers was off-putting.
ESO’s performance problems are either code- or server-related, not hardware-related. There are people out there with top of the line gaming rigs who STILL experience problems in Cyrodiil. If ZOS were to force me to purchase a top of the line $1000+ gaming rig to continue to have problems in Cyrodiil, I would simply stop playing this game.
Please don’t turn this into a platform argument; I don’t have any performance issues on any other games I play, including large scale PVP games like Battlefield. ZOS is responsible ESO’s performance problems, not my PS4.

Yes performance issues are at ZoS:s end, and ditching ps/xbox they would have resources to upgrade those. But performance not even being the biggest point, but overall functionality (bugs takes months to correct if they get corrected at all) and most importantly development for future, like PC gives more possibility to good graphics when not having to consider that other platforms have identical.

A game that routinely sells digital houses for close on $200 and flashy mounts for $50+ does not have resources?Sure thing, OP! ZOS, by their own admission, are “killing it” — so much so that they have the funds and resources to work on a brand new triple A game. https://wccftech.com/eso-boss-says-his-devs-have-been-killing-it-confirms-the-studio-is-working-on-a-new-game-with-a-new-engine/
Either you’re just an anti-console troll, or you don’t know what you’re talking about. “Ditching ps/xbox” will simply drive 2/3 of their playerbase away. Do you think that the developers of a game that loses a significant chunk of revenue after eliminating more than half of its playerbase works on...bug fixes afterward?
the lesson to be learned is most companies who got onto the mmo bandwagon do not have the resources to have a in depth complicated game along with multi platforms. both suffers.
the shotgun multiplatform marketing approach only works short term without enough resources.

Final Fantasy XIV is extremely well-optimized, and apparently runs very well on console at up to 60 FPS (something ESO players on console can only dream about). I can’t see Square Enix having more resources than the parent company of Bethesda, so...
How would the OP feel if the shoe was on the other foot?

Yea I know, but its not like video games are human rights or something like that..oXI_Viper_IXo wrote: »I'm 99% certain OP is just trolling. If this is a serious suggestion, it's one of the dumbest I've ever heard.
I like the game myself a lot so I wish it best success (PC version), fact is that MMO:s and consoles don't mix very well, althought ZoS have pulled it off decently.Pissed of course. But it dont make sense to uphold this massive system. How would the OP feel if the shoe was on the other foot?
Besides computers are really cheap nowadays and you can do other things also with them
