I think we are moving towards people not feeling limited by their classes but that is not the same as being classless.

I think there are plenty of players that wish there were no classes.

sure if you than have a lot of different abilities that allow for a wide build variety....and if you think zos has balancing issues now youre gonna be in for a rude awakening - the end result will be exactly one selection of bis skills so everybody will end up playing the same...

Wings stops reflecting projectiles > cloak stops granting invisibility > streak stops teleportation

Then we can all join hands in cyrodil and play patty cake and such. Were already at con 1 :---DD

Looking at the Patch histories I have to say I would prefer a classless system now, that way the hatred would be against skill lines not classes. And people usualy identify more with their class then their skill lines, and in the past year I feel the class vs class hatred is intensively growing, making the originall (imo) friendly ESO cummunity more toxic with each patch.

Also as mentioned previously in other topics a Battle Spirit type of converter could be a solution to seperate PvP and PvE balance (also it could be different for Cyro and BG), and atlest in PvE the difference between classes would be more noticeable

Nope, but we are moving toward the addition of Spellcrafting to fill any gaps in your class skills. Classes are definitely becoming less important.

Oh how I want to believe ...
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

Well, this is what happens when people scream to much; "overpowered" and "unbalanced" about classes and class skills..

Yup + Devs having their fav specs so they nerf and give away skills of those to others in better versions.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

The class hatred and toxicity problems come from pvp. You take it personal when you get beat by another player. An easy accuse for your loss is overpowered/unbalanced. In pve, you're working together as a team. Yes, you might be jealous of a fellow damage dealer doing 5k more dps but in general most reasonable players will understand why a stam player standing right next to the boss might do a few more dps than they do shielded, at range, with pets by their side. Risk vs reward

Make the base skills extremely bland. Put all the substance in the morphs. One for pve one for pvp. Balance those as necessary. Create 2 separate forums.

HOPEFULLY, I think the current "cheese" skill movement by the Combat Design team is part of master plan.
    1. STEP 1 - Create a set of OP "cheese" skills in various generic skill lines.
    2. STEP 2 - Community is forced to all move to these cheese skills as everyone has access to them and they are all substantially better then any class skills.
    3. STEP 3 - Once the community all on the same set of cheese, then overhauling Class skills will be far more palatable as no one will be using them.
    4. STEP 4 - Nerf the cheese and get the community to move back Class based skills again.

STEP 1 is clearly well underway, but we have not communication regarding as to why the cheese. Clearly an alternate explanation to what they are doing could be no more complex then:
    1. STEP 1 - Create a set of OP "cheese" skills in various generic skill lines.
    2. STEP 2 - Community moves to this BIS set of generic skills.
    3. STEP 3 - As the majority of players will be running essentially the same skills Balance is solved.

having pve be dominated by non pvp(class) skills effectively makes it so they can balance both separatley. just like the healer changes this patch, pve is getting the short end of the stick

Well, this is what happens when people scream to much; "overpowered" and "unbalanced" about classes and class skills..

nah what should happen is they actually take the time to balance the classes instead of making it worthless.

There is nothing wrong with people, for example, wishing magcro and magden didn't completely blow.

What desperately needs to happen in this game is the separation of PvE and PvP, that way everything can be fine-tuned to their liking for each aspect of the game without ruining things for one, the other, or both at the same time.. like they have a bad habit of doing now.

Such a process wouldn't even be that hard to do, if they were smart about how they built the skill system to begin with.

Anyway, until the "great divide" happens, every update this game will ever receive is going to be a horrendous balancing act that will never really address any of the issues regarding class toolkits, damage output, identity, etc. without grievously upsetting the playerbase and making players take their money elsewhere.

That, and let's not forget about the overall poor performance of the game in general.. and the fact that Cyrodiil automatically triples your latency when you join. :)
