I did see @ZOS_RichLambert s post but i wouldnt really call that an update since, from what i understand, what hes talking about has nothing to do with console and pvp. Thats where i play so thats what im worried about, because its bad here. But please, inform me if i'm wrong.
Anyway, if i were to call this what it is then this post would be removed.. But if i had to put it as nicely as possible, performance (especially pvp) is very very very bad. And to pretend its not happening, while so many people post about it everyday, could be called MANY things but again ill call it very very very bad.
But please, let me know if i missed something about it. I couldn't find anything (besides the one post) but I would love to know if we have some real information or just the usual zenimax silence..
So you're trying to be as nice as possible by saying performance is very bad but then you title the post a performance disgrace? And on top of that you have your name as eso lags. It seems like you are more interested in antagonizing than being constructive.
lol my name has been eso lags for a couple years now. At least my GT, I think i changed my forum name a little later. But I changed it because of the awful pvp performance, a couple years ago..... Ya, still only going down hill. And if you hop into pvp, in the main camp on xbox, you will see that it is disgraceful.Knootewoot wrote: »I don't understand why some people have really crap performance and some claim they have not.
Part of the problem is that people are simply not giving constructive feedback that accurately describes what they are experiencing. There is hyperbolic over use of terms like "broken" and "unplayable" when neither of those is actually the case, for example. Furthermore, such language doesn't describe the problem in a way that helps the developers understand what the specific issue actually is. Put another way, people aren't being objective in describing what is going on, leading to subjective interpretations of the situation that are going to differ widely. This, on top of the very real possibility that some users are simply not experiencing issues. I don't envy the developers having to sort through this. We could do them all a favor by being more constructive and doing less generalized whining, yes?
You are wrong. People have tried for years to be constructive. I have tried for years. Putting in countless tickets and bug reports and getting nothing but silence. Posting so many clips and getting nothing but silence. And you think broken is the wrong word? Or unplayable? Dont you think when a game doesnt work as intended, or even close, that it could be considered unplayable? For me, as a small scale/solo player, its unplayable as intended. Yes I can log on and play extremely ineffectively, but that is not playing as intended. I will accomplish nothing, and only get agitated. At least in a populated campaign, as the games pvp was meant to be played.
When I need a skill to go off in pvp and it goes off 5-10 seconds late, thats unplayable. When I need to heal and my vigor is telling me the target is out of range, thats unplayable. When we are crashing or hitting load screens every 15 minutes, thats unplayable. When my health is getting desynced multiple times a day in pvp, thats unplayable. When the game looks like an picture flip book, thats unplayable. And the list goes on. All these issues combined, every day, makes it unplayable.
Since you are on xbox why dont you hop into the 30 day campaign and let me know how it goes for you.. We can compare clips and if you dont have the issues that 99% of us do then you can let me know what you are doing differently.
So its still playable just very badly
By deffinition to betl unplayable mean you cant play at all
Sorry OP, it costs money to improve performance, whereas a single post on forums every year (5 years already) telling "we promise we are looking into performance problems" costs nothing.
Unfortunately, players still continue to buy Eso+, Crown Store items, expansions etc even if the game gets unplayable. So why would they change their way to deal (well, not dealing should I say) with performance ?
