Put the cc on a strong ranged DOT? Please no. They whole point of the destro changes was to remove the CC on a spammable ability that also deal great damage. Slot a cc like everyone else or play with one a CC. You can still slot a flame staff and use the CC. Then switch to a lightening staff for desired aoe damage buff. Either way, no class should have a CC that does great damage without any downsides. Templars had that a while back, so did sorcerers. No more.

That would be cool if Leeching Vines weren't a thing

Fetcher's damage is already in line with other DOTs, even without the +50% damage on every second cast. I don't think very many people - especially those of us that mostly PvP - are big fans of that mechanic, but it doesn't need a damage boost...nor an attached stun, IMO.as the title says.
put a stun on the morph fetcher infection, making it a single target stun with a dot, this will be very in line with other similar skills and remove the silly second cast gimmick. probably want to bring its damage up to be in line with other dots.
then put the aoe damage component back on the morph of arctic. as it was fun and people liked it / used it.
as the title says.

Just run flame clench ez pz.
To be serious, shock clench was quite strong due to its high aoe damage, CC spammability, and decent proc chance of minor vuln. It synergized well with magden's kit, which is mostly strong telegraphed AOE burst but low sustained damage. Arctic Wind should be like old shock clench: short range, deal a bit of aoe direct damage and CC. It should have damage to complement a spammable (ele weapon or bird) but shouldn't become a spammable entirely (like draining shot's damage but without a heal). Though the chance for chilled should be quite low so ice wardens don't become more cancer.
It shouldn't be a healing ability because magden already has a ton of other viable heals like nature's grasp, lotus, and living trellis. Self-heals are far from the issue on this class. Arctic wind really doesn't fit anywhere in a viable open world build, and it's only useful to full tanks.
All the PTS version does is encourage full tank heavy health wardens with zero damage but can heal viably in open world. For the sake of getting rid of the tank meta, just please dump this health warden meme and give us a relatively usable skill.
Also fetcher already does crazy damage on PTS (not hard to get 28k+ tooltip on it). And it doesn't really fit into the big picture as having a really good dot on top of a CC would be way too much. Even then DOT pressure shouldn't be built into magden's class design since its burst is its main attraction.
Yeah i agree and on PTS it's super clunky since you'll very often knock people weirdly out of shalk damage and off cliffs. And I hate dealing with knockbacks overall myself (personally wish they didn't buff the knockback lul). just doesn't work with magden's kit. Or we could just get shock clench back with its damage nerf and it's fine again.Just run flame clench ez pz.

I agree with Arctic change ( i would love to use this skill) and understand how Shock Clench was strong. But the issue with Flame Clench is that the player doesn't always get knocked back, the other day i had a player get knocked forward onto the ledge of a keep wall and completely evaded my other damage. I would be ok if Shock clench had its initial damage lowered more or removed, because its main utility was stunning players on the spot.
