Because they gave it to every class basically. So DK takes the fall for it being too op when given to the masses.

    Class identity be damned.

"These changes were done to reduce situations where you could simply stack multiple Damage over Time effects on an enemy, activate this ability (or Corrosive Armor) and freely reap the benefits of ignoring a target’s mitigation. The power goal of these abilities are meant to empower you to smash your opponent to bits, rather than speed up the process of slowly killing them. Please note that some item sets have not received an audit (yet) to properly flag them as Direct Damage or Damage over Time, and may behave strangely with this mechanism."

    Yea...that's the powergoal of Onslaught

That's not the powergoal of Corrosive Armor, its a freakin dot...that does a bloody dot, on a dot class.... so therefor none of the dots from the dot class should work on it?

What kind of insane logic is that.

I mean, we have that smash your opponent to bits ult already..its called bloody Dragons Leap

To be fair, Necromancer also has a stronger DoT passive.

Well the Thing is that the dk dot passive only buffs dots out of 1 class skill line and it was specifically stated that it was buffed in order for ardent flame dots to be as strong as the dot Standard. Necro presumably is at this Standard already and gets a universal 10% increase on top of being at the Standard already.

I was s'ing my h all the time reading the DK changes as well this update.

I mean, I'm still waiting for my class execute and for my magicka based class attacks to be increased to a 28m range, you know, to fit with the "standards" of every other mag class.

Oh, or is it only when nerfing to "standards" that we care about them, not buffing? Got it.

These changes were done to ensure these abilities keep up with our current DoT standards, and to help emphasize the Dragonknight’s more attrition-based combat style.
The power goal of these abilities are meant to empower you to smash your opponent to bits, rather than speed up the process of slowly killing them. Please note that some item sets have not received an audit (yet) to properly flag them as Direct Damage or Damage over Time, and may behave strangely with this mechanism.

Lemme get this straight. So my DoT from my DoT class skills no longer synergizes with my DoT class ultimate? Ok.

I swear I’ve never seen a dev play any class besides NB or Templar.

They created a situation where the ult, which was strong, was made too strong. And the solution is the nerf the ult.

A simple solution would of been..oh i don't know...have Corrosive armor not work on Bleeds?

So if corrosive armor is considered DoT does that mean the ultimate won’t give its own damage the penetration?

What direct damage abilities are in the DK class kit? Flames of oblivion???

No that wouldn't solve anything. It would turn every other DoT into a bleed basically.

You mean it would do the exact same thing it does already right now?

It was dumb gameplay and was going to be even worse. Tho I would prefer if they simply made dots remember penetration they were applied instead of just getting from 0 to OP by activation of 100% pen.

Was to be expected, sadly. Since now
ZOS is making all classes play like a freaking DK with all these dots. They just can't have the upper hand with this ability. At least that's what I asume from their thought process.
