They just make it update every hour instead of second to reduce lag?

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_SarahHecker PC received a hot fix and what about we?!?! Do we need to wait a month? 3 months? 6 months?

(I repeat do NOT check it) Head to the bank and deposit a trash item first. After that you can check your history. That trash item should have deposited in real time and should be there. (Which means you are currently caught up in deposit history) Obviously this will only work when you first log in and that first item, then it goes back to being delayed. But if you get a lot of deposits overnight it's a help.
Dear ZOS, it's ridiculous that we have to go through this. Do you only respond to streamers and your cliquey #ESOFam? As others have said, I am not spending anymore money until you at least acknowledge this thread.
I regularly donate a fair amount to my trade guild every week. Is there any risk that my guild won't see my donation now?
Any GMs able to provide an answer?
PCEU btw.
What we're doing in my guilds is having officers take turns every hour or so to stop whatever the officer is doing so he/she can log out, close game, restart game, and log back in to see if (1) there are any new deposits to record and (2) check the previous officer's work to see if any deposits were missed.
On major deposit days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) this essentially means GMs and officers can't commit to certain gameplay such as Cyrodiil or Trials unless another officer is available to cover his/her shifts.
I haven't run a Trial at all last week, and I got just a single 4 hour window to play in Cyrodiil.

But, GMs and officers don't do anything for their guilds... They're just here to scam guildies and steal money. Buncha layabout fatcats, amirite?

To make it 'interesting'... from time to time we actually do receive updates without restart. These updates don't seem to follow any triggering event (such as change of instance) nor does there appear to be a reliable time schedule (such as once per hour). These random updates appear... well, randomly, unreliably, and inconsistently (such as one officer might get random updates while another does not).

How come this is even acceptable?!
"Changed the guild history update mechanism from client polling to server-initiated updates to help address performance issues. The history will update approximately once per minute."

We understand y'all have to push fixes through a third party and sympathize with the extra p.i.t.a
We can manage waiting for a fix, but can we get guidance on when Guild History updates are retrieved now? Is it only upon game start? Fixed time interval? Random after game start?
The reason we need to know is to have a procedure to reliably capture new History data so we can assure ourselves and our guildies that deposits (and dependent accounting record) aren't missed
Thanks

Thanks for understanding. It sounds like if you want to force an immediate refresh, you will need to relog. You could also try closing the panel and reopening, but that may take a few minutes to refresh.

Ok, that's what we were thinking, and it's a relief to have restart confirmed as the reliable method. It is what it is.

Ugh that SUCKS. Sorry guys.
New PTS 5.1.2 Patch Notes say they have rewritten Guild History code to go from client-pull to server-push, which sounds to me like it will solve a number of problems (remember the temp fix where we set Guild Roster to lookup just ourselves?), permit future scaling, and perhaps give add-on authors the ability to make more robust products without worrying about server load. A server-side 'broadcast' of updates means the server load can be safely regulated.
It might be a very good thing... for which I can be patient
