Jewelry crafting trait reset option

With the upcoming changes to protective (and previously swift) ZOS has drastically over nerfed these transmuted jewelry traits in to virtual uselessness. If ZOS wanted everyone to run infused / default jewelry that’s fine, it hurts diversity, but whatever. Give people an option for jewelry to reset the transmuted jewelry back to a default or original stat. Maybe even add cost if you have to force your monotonous grind on us at a discounted price. Day 1 players are getting fed up with the constant forced grind. PvP is all I care about and when you made shields crittable and take account resistances + healing ward nerf you forced mag players to adapt. We did and stacked protective jewelry as a good resistance passive to account for the change arbitration the sacrifice of some magicka. You have drastically over nerfed this and I hope you rethink the #s but in any account if this goes live, give us a reset option. I’m over the grinding. I’ve been at it since day 1 and I’m exhausted. The server performance already makes the game hardly playable as is.

    Oh wait, ZOS doesnt work like that. Better play the game some more/use those hoarded transmute crystals to change your now no-longer-meta gear. The joys (sorrows) of Horizontal Progression!

    I’ve never complained about set nerfs and I’ve dealt with some terrible ones (tavas is still virtually useless). Transmutes can’t really be compared to something you can farm + acquire with in game currency. I’m not going to grind a game that’s in its worst performance date since launch as a day one player. These are the people they’re going to lose when borderlands releases.

    If something's going to be broken. Isn't it quite obvious that it will get nerfed sooner or later.
    And if you are aware of that fact, why act shocked and offended when it happens?
    Plan ahead, get extra pieces of that set for when it will get nerfed so you can quickly change up.
    Or while it's broken and you happily can play with them, make sure to gather transmute crystals meanwhile for when you will have to use them.

    I edited my post. Protective wasn’t what I was referring to in regards to being “broken” protective was a forced meta that nearly every mag pvp build was pigeonholed in to by ZOS and then they nerf it to the point of being useless.

    Aren’t PvPers always complaining about inventory management due to transmutation geodes? Seems like the protective nerf will solve that problem

    The change isn’t going to break my builds by any means. But it sure does make it obnoxiously more annoying. Guess the lady mundus is going to make a comeback.
    Stupid to nerf a trait that wasn’t even over performing. Zos doesn’t even know how to balance their own game. If something is slightly good and some casual zergling noob cries about it. You can expect some colossal blanket nerfs to said thing and it’ll become absolutely obsolete.
    Just look at Swift, abilities with major expedition, etc.
    They don’t know how to balance crap

    Yeah it’s not the nerf itself, I agree, it was slightly over performing but the drastic over the top nerfs are just ridiculous. It’s the same old song and dance.

    Though I agree that the nerf is an over-correction on ZOS's part, there's still at least two (2) weeks of PTS to go, @HEBREWHAMMERRR.

    The ZOS jury is still out on whether further PTS changes will be (1) made, (2) reverted, or (3) ninja-nerfed/ninja-buffed on patch day.


    In other words, it's way too premature to declare Protective jewelry a disaster.

    @VaranisArano said it best ... any half-awake player is going to have enough transmute stones to cover the loss anyway.
