Yeah I feel like they aren’t even reading any of these forums and seeing how unhappy ppl are about all this. I have never once in the time I have played this game been kicked as many times as I have (not even in PvP or anything laggy). I don’t understand why they don’t balance pve and pvp separately. They have the money! This patch has me so upset because so many ppl in my guild are about to leave. This patch really showed me a lot about this company.

I'm still new and inexperienced with the game. I have no concept of anything, so I can't really contribute, but I have a question... What does ZoS stand for? :joy:

Then you obviously don't PVP or do end game Trials. Because the Lag is rediculous. Also you probably wont be saying the game is better next patch if they roll out those combat changes. Just because you don't experience these bugs and problems, doesn't mean that a large majority of players doing those content arent. Neither does it invalidate our problems

Going for short term profits ofc like every greedy coorperation these days.
Whales with the "gambling addict in denial"-syndrome are gonna spend hundreds of dollars on crown crates and cosmetics no matter how bad/good the game and the performance are just to satisfy their needs and ZOS is exploiting and cashing the *** out on those kinds of people.
Also the new "I dont wanna play the game, but I wanna have everything" group of people seem to be very profitable for ZOS and they tested it with introducing skyshards for crowns, now that it clearly worked out they managed to make a basic QoL feature (account-wide skill lines) into an cash-shop asset.
ESO is gonna seriously struggle the time TES6 releases because then all the roleplayers are gonna run to the new TES6 game, and the RPers and hardcore TES fans are probably over half the population.
Kinda makes sense why they dont wanna invest into server upgrades and optimization.
Gotta cash out while you have a population I guess.

I also can't wait for TES VI to be finally ready to be released, even if its release is years ahead from now.

Do not get your hopes up. Todd calling The Elder Scrolls: Blades--one of the worse and most disgustingly monetised TES games to date--a "true Elder Scrolls experience" says a lot about what they value the most now. Then there's the state Fallout 76 was released in, and Todd admitting to purposefully releasing it in an unfinished state and knowing it was going to get *** scores, then having the audacity to say 'ratings don't matter' despite them almost ruining Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout: New Vegas) because they were one point from a certain metascore. Add on top the plethora of other ***--along with Jeremy *** Soule not even touching Bethesda with a 50ft pole anymore--and the future for TES is looking pretty damn grim.

It's a shame because I love this series, but with the *** Bethesda and Zenimax have been pulling lately with their community, their fans, other studios, and their workers? Nah. They can get ***.

You very clearly DO NOT play your own game; Especially not PVP. You need to stop being stubborn and just seperately Balance PVE and PVP already like we have been asking for years, this way you don't feel the need to completely GUT your game and class mechanics every few patches.

I agree with the above. I stopped my subscription after the total disregard on game-breaking bugs, like the moving aoe telegraphs that have been happening since the Elsweyr release, and still haven't been adressed. Class changes and nerfs, although frustrating, and sometimes really bewildering, we can ride out and adapt to, but players shouldn't have to put up with bugs that prevent them from actually playing the game properly, like being stuck-in-combat in Cyrodiil, or the afforementioned broken aoe telegraphs. The combat in ESO is one of its best features, in my opinion, and it's getting butchered. I'd rather have less QoL features, like guild finders, etc., if we could have smooth, fast-paced combat.

It's kind of sad how many people are turning a blind eye to this too. If we don't speak up and stand up for ourselves/eachother, then who will? Who else will hold ZoS Accountable if we don't?

Agree with you, with every major new content, somehow the state of the game is getting worse, lag and performance wise. Cyrodiil is unplayable in 30 day campaign and even in PvE like vMA there is lag and performance issues. It's beginning to be an unplayable game combat wise for me and it's really getting on my nerves tbh. Also the lack of bug fixing affects combat in manners that shouldn't in a game like this. Feels like the developers don't care about the game itself and just focus on getting more revenue through other means like crown store and pre-order marketing because you know, at the end of the day, they earn good money from that, so why care. After Elsweyr I immediately unsubbed and am not buying Elsweyr or any other DLC due to these reasons. Fix your game and people will stick with you.

the funny thing about this mans post is that he wants performance fixed while also wanting to have skills balanced seperately for pve and pvp which would also make the game run heavier

battlegrounds don't have lag, and i don't go Cryodill during prime hours. End-game trials are too much of a tryhardz for me, hardest i did were Craglorn vet trials. A reason for this is also because i couldn't bother searching for competent groups, i did vDSA and flawless vMA tho.

so from my opinion, the stuff i play got better over time.

That's cool that you don't have the same problems, but just because you don't have those problems doesn't mean that they don't exist. ZoS has no excuse, we pay for a service, we should get the quality servers we deserve.

You might be right, but it doesn’t matter. This game has been going strong in terms of numbers for about 5 years now, it will probably last close to 10, and as long as they’re making money and we have every reason to believe they’re doing very well, it doesn’t matter if a handful of players expecting top of the line performance are happy or not. Most people couldn’t care less if that crucial dodge roll or vigor doesn’t pop when you need it to while 2vXing in a tower. It’s just the way it is.

That's seriously downplaying the amount of lag there actually is. Come on with that ***, stop sucking ZoS's *** and admit the truth, which is that there is a serious problem.

Pve content is either super easy or extremely difficult chaotic messes.

Yeah I agree. This is probably the biggest problem with the game right now.

Hopefully this new development team will do a better job at finding the right balance between too easy and too frustrating. This upcoming update and the new DLC dungeons will tell the tale. The new CP system they are currently in works on will be a good indicator too. Because if they keep moving in this same direction - where content is either brain dead easy or annoyingly frustrating they are going to start running into problems.

Is it a new development team?!

That made me squirm a bit in my seat...

A lot of the major problems are when there are events, like PvP or dungeon finder. Everyone just piles in and the game can't cope.

My understanding is that there are only two peak times for eu, and three or four for n.a.. this means that the eu servers get over populated during peak times, and the game struggles to cope with it.

This got considerably worse during the 5 year anniversary event, when a lot of new players joined. They also piled into the new guild finder function, which trashed the activity logs. It was a great idea in theory, but the guild finder has caused more problems than it fixed.

Eso is a victim of its own success really.
