i believe StamNecro and Stamblade are still the top of the DPS charts right now with the other stam classes not too far behind (something like stamDK, stamDen, stamPlar, stamSorc).

Magicka is a rather closer gap between magBlade, magSorc, and magPlar ... magPlar ans magSorc may be higher than the nightblade right now due to the previous patch changes to the nightblade skills.

Stamnecro, if you want to know how things stack up in the patch check Liko’s YouTube channel.

I don’t have all the classes and am not good enough to hit those high numbers, but he typically plays around and parses a lot of specs so is great for benchmarking top end potential.

In terms of damage calculations I think checkmath is the authority.

Anything that doesn’t come directly from those two I always question.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Stamcro then stamblade, then probably stamden, stamsorc, stamplar, stamDK.

Then mag classes: magcro, then magplar, then magblade and magsorc, and finally magden. Something like that.

Stamina classes got better selfhealing now, have the best DPS sets... no reason not to play a stamina DPS. Play mag class if you heal, though.

I’ve been looking for parses and haven’t found anything.

From the little I’ve been able to find stamsorc and stamnecro are tops yea. Someone mentioned hitting 96k as a stamsorc.

There are parses....and then there are what YOU are able to do with a class.

That's the main problem with the devs currently, they don't understand that concept. They focus on what .01% of the population can reach under IDEAL circumstances (this goes for PvP and pve) and then nerf from there.

There are going to be people that are (spoler alert!) simply better at it than you, me, the devs, everyone. Basing design around them is a bad idea.

For example, pulling numbers out if my butt here, but let's say "the top parse" is class A doing 90k. Now let's say MAYBE a couple dozen people are actually able to get that on class A. Now class B come along, and parses for 80k. Very obviously weaker, right?

What if half the population that tried on class B could actually hit that 80k though? Class B suddenly because much more attractive, as it is much more attainable.

That's why stamDKs get so much hate in PvP, because we just Dizzying Swing and Leap after setting up one or two dots. That's also why magsorcs get so much hate, because they literally just need to use 3 buttons for the vast majority of encounters in PvP.

But as soon as another class comes along, and has someone able to execute all of its complexity, they make the "simple" classes look like garbage.

So it's really a case of how complex you want to make things for yourself.

That's just how I see it, feel free to flame away.

Think he means PTS. The 20% extra dot damage passive ended up being pretty good once they buffed all the dots.

For the upcoming patch it looks like we're going to see this type of order, that's if everything goes through to live:

Stamina: Ranks 3-6 might be interchangeable but it looks like that Necro & Sorc are pulling ahead
    1. Necromancer
    2. Sorcerer
    3. Nightblade
    4. Warden
    5. Dragonknight
    6. Templar

Magicka: This one is harder, looks like everyone is pulling about the same numbers. I do believe that Nightblade is last here now, not sure though

Magcro will be good with DoT changes for next patch. Just test it.

Well the next major patch they will take a look at passives, so I would not start a new character today. But if it is the first character in a long while, pick anything but Warden, avoid Warden. Two years and mag warden is still horrible.

Based on what I've seen in the PTS, magblade has been nerfed into the damn ground.

I also made a stamcro to test and got 40k on the first parse I did by just mashing buttons... I tried to follow Alcast's rotation but couldn't remember it all. Faceroll class it seems; not gonna play it though because I feel stupid shooting skulls at stuff and whatever.
