Bash Cooldown?

On pts bashing causes like a full one second cooldown where you can't do anything at all. Was this intended? If this is a goliath bash nerf then just add the cooldown to them. Ppl use bash in combos.

    Its also on live, I try to spam bash on my Necro ( the reason I made one ) and it has a delay, they added it for that very reason, it was OP, 1 necro could wipe a full group in a few seconds if they are not expecting it

    It's not cheating zos has clarified that all types of animation canceling are intended. There are even load screens tips about it lmfao

    Once again we nerf EVERY single class over one single skill. Just add a cooldown while in Goliath form.

    They specify weaving, not cancelling... the tooltip says skill then light attack, not block, bash, weapon swap cancel the animation.

    Additionally it should not keep you from doing anything other than another bash, currently you can't dodge, or anything

    I didn't test this. But then even as a primary PvPer, this is going to be ridiculous for PvE. Imagine missing a mechanic requiring a superfast bash and being forced to wait a second like the lockdown mechanics in various DLC dungeons, requiring a bash to free a locked down player in DLC dungeons.

    Yeah, thats pretty good, lets you reposition and set it off after. Honestly, I dont really care, I’m sure at this point anyone playing animation cancels by default anyway lol. They’ll say they dont, but we all know they do, myself included

    Its literally what sets good players apart from bad players. Weaving, Animation canceling, bash weaving. This 100% kills bash weaving. It's like no damage but makes builds flow. All for a stupid ultimate that makes no sense to start with. How is THIS the solution? Really? Just make it so that you spam the ulti buttons to do the stupid extra attack. Why make bash a problem by introducing a skill that makes it a problem and then decide that the lowest hitting ability in THE ENTIRE GAME needs nerfed? Who thought this up? What geniuses fathomed this amazing display of human ingenuity?? I'm simply amazed .

    Dude seriously WoW has alllll the cooldowns you need lol. It's a bash. Are you that scared of a bash killing you? GOLIATH BASH 100% NEEDS A COOLDOWN. Why does that mean everyone needs one?

    It's a bit far to say that animation cancelling as we know it in ESO at present is "intended" - it was a bug they couldn't fix at the time so it became a ubiquitous "feature", in marketing double speak.

    If they attempt to fix that, then technically they are bug fixing - it's just that the player base may have become quite enamored to the status quo.

    That's a separate argument - and regardless wouldn't it be better to post this on the PTS forum?

    I'm not a forum expert, I apologize for the mistake, but this just makes no sense really. Yes, for sure it was a mistake that became a feature. This game is fun because it is fluid. That is the only thing that makes it fun, but all of these exWow players are now trying to turn it into WoW with the cooldowns and slow boring gameplay

    What is funny, is only Zerglings died to the Goliath Bash, lol. A decent player had fun letting the big amusement park attractions blow their stamina and poof right back into incomplete class an dropped them :D

    @susmitds The devs don't care about such things. I remember Rich having such fun highlighting the volendrung....mainly the volendrung xD

    Right, was so into this stupid weapon that only the Zerg Gods will every get their grimy fingers on or care about. Gameplay doesnt matter, it's all about coming up with more and more pointless junk like artifact weapons and dragons. Which by the way, the dragons look like they're blimps rather than flying.
