Oh and the pvp loading screens are a nightmare. I've gotton to the point where I'm sick of trying to get into the lakes. I mean sometimes it takes me about 10 logins to get in there.

I thought bath night was Sunday not Saturday?

Same thing happening to me. I guess I'll hang it up for tonight. Not much point in fighting it at this point. Been watching spinning snakes for 10 minutes and can't even get to character screen. *sigh*

Cannot load, any instance, pub dungeons, normal dungeons, zone changes. all takes 10mins plus. on a weekend. come on guys, you hyped up the mega server. so please deliver on it.

You make it sound like they've accomplished nothing.

The game's just over a week old.

They really did accomplished nothing. This game is just over a week old but developments should be seen already. That is why we have beta stages to fix these bugs and try to minimize the problems as much as possible during release.

Are you ***? Do you think *** never breaks? Christ these new batch of MMO players are pathetic.

Or, you could pressure a company to deliver on the "lag-free" experience they promised, and the experience you technically just dropped $60.00 to $80.00 on (or more, depending on your version) and are now pretty much unable to enjoy due to yet another hiccup.

Seriously, this like what, week 2 of this game? The first week the servers were out for 12+ Hours during Early Access (which was something that people paid for *gasp*). Now all thru week 2, we've had to deal with 1) Lag, 2) Mail issues, 3) Social feature issues.

I'm beginning to think that this megaserver idea was a bad idea from the get go, I've never had this many issues with an MMO in regards to connectivity and stability.

If this is the level of quality and ability to play we can expect for the foreseeable future, then I guess I will have to seriously reconsider my six-month subscription.
And please don't give me crap about how, "Omg all MMO's have these issues dude", I know, this is like the 5th MMO I've played in my life. I know they have bugs and kinks and all that good stuff. I just....I just needed to vent.

It took me approximately 3 to 5 minutes to type this in, and 5 minutes before that I was loading into Glenumbra. Says alot about this game, alot.

Let's see... Every big MMO since UO has had problems. So you sir are a liar in that you have never played an MMO. Good try though.

This is why companies should have longer beta sessions to test their crap before it's released. You know... to beta test the things that inevitably break so they don't have to fix it later?

I agree with Caedes, We have paid money, so yes we are ENTITLED to actually get what we have paid for. 5 - 10 minute loading screens only to be dumped to the character select, lag that results in you being killed because the server and your client have two different idea's about what is going on.. or hey the server refuses to allow you to attack at all.. etc isn't what we paid for. There is an issue with the server at the moment.. Rather than do the bright thing and either:
    - Add more cluster servers to take the load
    - Actually split and SHARD the game like 99% of other mmo's (Heck even Guild Wars learnt their lesson in that regard)
    - put in a load bar so people at least know how much FURTHER they have to go.

instead we get again lack of firm communication, lack of service. Yes it's early days.. but these early days can make or break a MMO we all know that.

yup this is a server wide issue, so just be patient, go eat, be with your significant other or family for a couple hours, get away from the computer, and when the games back, then you come back feeling refreshed!

People always spout this drivel. I'm sure you have good intentions, but what if you have been doing the above all day long and now want to play? Save it, it's tired and does not apply to everyone.

Are you really that stupid? Beta tests can't identify a server issue when the full load of people are playing genius.

Pathetic. There was an official response within minutes. And I'll take these 'early days' over the early days of every MMORPG of this scale that came before.

Now dry those tears and buck up, little camper. The servers will be fixed before long, I promise.

You are correct. This has been the smoothest launch. However, if you want to progress in this MMO then you are truly f'd. Broken dungeons, quests, grouping issues, xp issues, and game mechanics prevent you from enjoying your "smoothest launch" in all it's glory.

Technically you are entitled to the ability to access the servers (Whether or not you can use this ability is a different issue), If the servers go down, they go down. As long as the development team is making steps to correct the issue it is all good. The servers could be broken for several days, and they are by no means required to give compensation, based on the way the agreement is written.
You however are not entitled to a fully lag free and bug free service. I highly doubt they made that promise, and I doubt that promise is anywhere in the agreement.

As long as they are providing the service promised, it doesn't matter the quality of that service, it is what you paid for.

Feel free to correct me though. The law is not my field of expertise.

If you are unhappy with the services they provide, you are more than welcome to not purchase their service in the future.

Considering most of the issues are arising due to the volume of people accessing their servers, many of these issues may not arisen during the alpha and beta.

Even the stress tests would not be enough to sort these issues out, as there is only so much you can do with a stress test. There is no perfect way to test release condition during a beta.

As well, for the most part, a lot of these log in issues were resolved for most people during the last stress.

Same here. Got in long enough to learn the Guild Store isnt working either.

You got me ZeniMax! I almost started to enjoy myself again after the 6+ days of Groundskeeper and 4-6 hour East/West portal camping.

@thefreezingvoid Oh they could have have a complete open beta once or twice with no invites just download and play. Think that might have stressed the server?

Oh well it's nothing new, the game has been full of broken stuff since the first open beta alot of it the same stuff we've experienced the past two weeks.

    Just saying

Load times are still really long today. 3min. Last night's maintenance seems to have just temporarily improved it.

EDIT: Well now they are getting to be over 5-6 minutes. Sigh... And chat messages takes several minutes as well.

Happening again, even worse. Hard to play when 1 of 3 people in a group (2 of them using the same connection) takes over 10 minutes to load.

This is ridiculous. It makes the game unplayable.
