Why??? To balance pvp? And what about pve? People will run with 5/6k shields, from 18k pre-nerfmire to 5k post-scalenerf patch. Not a good goal Zos

If you need shield in pve then l2p. If Sorc shield get nerf to the ground, you still have the Light armor shield
Because they were overpowered in both pvp and pve. Deal with it.

Except that's getting nerfed too. And needing a shield on a glass cannon build for VMA/vet trials is not a l2p issue in my opinion. For basic survivablity, stamina have mobility, tanks have health, magicka have shields. Shields were already less effective in PvP as I understand it, so why not just make them even less so and leave PvE alone?

You can do vMA without shield...
vMA build are supoosed to be différent than usual build (dunjeon/trials)
You have power surge (heal on crit) , ice hearth set, bird pet which is a flash heal, and you still need your shield ?
