Maintenance for the week of April 6:

My bank just got nuked by the bug

bwilson.homeb16_ESO
All the extra space I bought. All my cash. No clue what items have gone as I move things around so much. No doubt I'll be cursing more over the next few days as I remember stuff I can't find.

Seriously, it's hard to bring myself to play right now, knowing my stuff can be lost in an instant like this. From the looks of other posts on the subject, resolution isn't either quick or convenient. I'm a packrat, with 7 characters, constantly juggling stuff between characters to manage space. If everything I put in the bank stands a risk of vanishing into the digital ether every time I close the bank window, wtf is the point? I've put in a ticket, but I've never had anything back from them other than the autoresponse 'we received your ticket' (which, incidently, I haven't even received this time)

Really gutted. I signed up for 6 months of this, and right now I just don't want to play :(

Something happened last night. I have a similar problem.

    Character is naked.
    Inventory is gone.
    Bank inventory is gone.
    No horse.
No skills.... but don't have skill points back.

Submitted a ticket and waiting for response. Guess I won't be playing for a while.

I was an early victim of this bug, and I sincerely feel for anyone getting hit with it for the first time. There should be a message on the forums/launcher/etc from ZOS making it clear that no one should be purchasing bank upgrades until this major bug is fixed. All they are doing is letting the list of affected players grow larger by the day. It really is mind boggling.

They obviously can disable game features as needed. Why not disable bank upgrades to prevent more people from falling victim?

Yep, this bug is game breaking for me honestly. If this is not resolved by the time my 30 days is up there will be no subscription sign up for me. Plenty of other options to go play. It's terrible, too, such a wonderful game and love it, but for a trader and crafter as myself a secure bank is a must.

My brother had this happen to him just a few hours ago, and that scared me. So I wont be playing until this is resolved, loosing progress and items is unacceptable.

Nobody would blame you if you canceled your sub and waited until these issues were truly fixed before reactivating it. It's what I would do.

Customer service must be totally overwhelmed right now, and tier 1 support is outsourced so all they're gonna do is send out canned scripted responses. If you canceled and let them know why and when you'd reactivate you wouldn't be doing the wrong thing.

Unfortunately, cancelling the sub at this time solves little, as the gametime has already been paid for. Confidence in Zenimax to rectify things is low and the whole thing is demotivating. Personally I am surprised that anyone, after being forced to give card details to enable them to access the game, didn't cancel the sub immediately in any event and then reactivate it only when appropriate.

Good luck to the OP in getting resolution to this issue. I also have been hit by the bug, but have little faith in Zenimax actually solving anything at all.
ZoS Ambassadors please do not bother responding to me because I have you on ignore. Your input is neither valued or welcomed.

My friend just quit after waiting three days for a generic response from Zenimax's customer support team....you won't be getting those items or your gold back, even if they patch it. They do not care.

The subscription hasn't been paid for yet, just this first month through the purchase of the game. There's a little over two weeks to cancel and if I get hit with this bug in the next two weeks that's exactly what I'm doing.

I woudln't stop there tbh, If I was mad enough to refund, I would also do a chargeback on the game for failing to live up to promises from the lead developer. If you never chargeback they don't even really challenge you on it.

Well I would only cancel until the fixed it. I just wouldn't want to pay or play while they do it. So far I've been lucky though. Let's see if I remain lucky.

I honestly don't know either. It must be something so entrenched in the coding they can't patch over, without affecting the game so much that it permanently breaks. That's their only excuse at this point, because lord knows they've truly shot themselves in the foot over it.

Not that it'll matter in about a month. Too many are going to be leaving over the exponentially growing list of issues. Usually these things taper during the first couple of weeks, this is only getting worse.
