$80 fee x 500,000+ players= .....$40 Million+ at launch.

Fix the darned game please. Fix the glitches and compensate those effected.
I like this game and do not wish to see it go the way of TOR and AoC.

Copied from the stickied thread figured it was relevant here as well.
Congratulations ZOS.... It happened to me a second time... and this time i lost my COMPLETE BANK! ... i only have 2 items left in my bank... all other is GONE!

ARE YOU JUST KIDDING ME??? Last time i lost from 100 Slots back to 60 slots EVERYTHING!!!! and now... i lost completely EVERYTHING in MY STORAGE!

What is this ***! Great decision to only give a handful of stupid players beta access to more than the starting area and long time testing... congratulations... I was close to veteran rank 5 and now my complete exitement to the game is GONE... thanks for that.. i lost everything... and no need to beta test your game any further.

    FOR YOUR LONG TIME OBSERVATION:
    - I logged out at my first char
    - I logged in at my second char
    - I got the Imperial Edition Mails, the Explorer Pack and a mud crap that i never bought
    - I had NOTHING left in my storage. 2/60 Slots all others ARE GONE!

Nothing more that i can put on your list of "stupid things i've done to get this bug"
LOGIN, LOGOUT ... that damn mysterious functionality ;)

If this happens to me I'm quitting, asking for a refund...this MMO is already more expensive than most at launch, but to top it off 20% of the player base are losing all their items, and their is no status update on this situation...simply unacceptable.

We the customers...not the fanboys...but the honest customers, are very disappointed.

My buddy has many subscribers on his YouTube channel and I'm going to encourage him to blog and post about this to his 100K+ followers if this is not resolved soon.

The automatic suspensions from a different IP is so stupid, and so many routers mask your IP or has automatic proxy built in..

My brother has played World of Warcraft a few times here on my PC, and everytime his account got automatically suspended, and he had to send a scan of his passport or the likes validating it was him, before they would unlock it.. It happened several times..

These are growing pains... It's 8 days since launch. We can't see everything that's going on behind the scenes but I have faith that the issues are being worked on. Have a bit of patience.

I'm guessing its more in the line of $100+ million at launch but ignoring that little fact, I am certain that ZOS customer support is simply swamped right now with people that are still figuring out how to do stuff and solve problems. Of course they need to get better and they need to do it fast. But these threads aint going to help them.

This has happened to me on WoW before too except they wanted my license....and they fixed it within an hour.

Not ESO here it take 5 days to get a response and they don't fix anything.

I have no faith in their "fixes", and the paying customers/players should already be compensated for this garbage.

Yes eight days post launch most MMOs have problems...usually their fixed quickly and new one arise. It has been days and this is still going on. This is a bad sign.

Yeah. They should just let anyone using any ip address into your account. No one ever hacks accounts. No player ever had everything including the gear they were wearing stolen and sold. Stupid devs trying to keep your account yours.

Zenimax needs to step up the support. But I strongly disagree on the "let anyone on any ip into the account." I wanted the game on my laptop; when I logged into my account from a different location, I had to prove I was me. I'm rather happy about that. Someone has already attempted to reset my password. I'd rather not make it easy for them to get into my account. If that means I have to answer a question, I'm fine with it, actually.

Launch issues or not - these things matter and need to be handled quickly and with diligent care.

So here's how last night went down for me. Friend came over and the night escalated into me throwing a small party. Our girls are outside drinking margaritas and the guys are all gamers, so they stayed inside and wanted to see my setup and some of my games. They knew I was playing ESO. I told them I enjoyed the game and qualified it by saying there were some bugged quests and issues with the launch. They insisted they wanted to see it.

Three of the four quests I tried bugged out. Couldn't complete them - NPCs didn't spawn. Then I got an infinite load time and had to close out the game (Alt-F4). Then the servers went down.

My friends weren't exactly impressed. I can tell you with pretty high confidence that they have zero interest in this game now.

I greatly enjoy the quests that work, and I find the gameplay tremendously entertaining, but these bugs are just crazy.

Here's my standard - nobody should be billed a month until there are no more character wipes, no more bank wipes, and every single launch quest works as intended. Until we reach that point - we're not playing, just testing. And I don't pay to test.

I like this game and have not had many issues myself....what I'm doing is something you probably don't understand...I'm trying to empathize and help out those effected by the garbage bug that takes away all of your progress. My friend canceled his sub last night after he lost 50K gold and all his crafting mates and skills on his veteran rank two...about 4 days ago, and was told yesterday he wasn't getting anything back.

I can guarantee if it happened to you, you suddenly wouldn't be the way you are talking about how you have had minimal issues with this piece of garbage.

Way to take things out of context, and put the proportions to the max, lol.

I never said let ANYONE in, I just said that the current automatic ip banning system sucks. They should just add the system as ZOS uses, every new system will get a code sent to your email, or phone, or whatever.. If they can make a genuine authenticator, then they can also add the system that sends a code to your phone.

I guess I am a fanboy since I don't rant and rave demanding this and that like a three year-old having a meltdown in the toy story

When you decide to act mature why don't you join the rest of us in reporting the problems and working to actually help Zenimax fix the host of launch problems that ESO is going through.

But posting ranting and belligerent threads? Don't help you, doesn't help Zenimax, and doesn't help other players.

But hey if you decide to go through with your threat and drama/rage quit then that's all good too since it'll be one less ranting tool in Zone Chat.

    Please explain minor issues!

Do you mean that people who paid for the game to get EA couldn't carry on playing because a bank refused to pay the fee twice?

Do you mean the fact that some people have had there in-game bank scrubbed out never to be seen again?

Do you mean people that have had there toons deleted after a patch?

To name but a few possible minor issues that you may draw upon.

Please dannmargie85 would you like to list some more minor issues that i have not.

However in another guild of mine there's only nearly 50 cases in about 450+ members or so. So it varies.

The number of people effected is getting a bit off-track since we have no real way of knowing figures and our individual experiences and friends' experiences will vary.

    Basic risk formula:
    Risk = Likelihood * Magnitude

We've established that nobody will be able to cite a source for an estimated number of people effected. What can't be disputed is that there are people effected, and the magnitude of character wipes is pretty severe.

MMO players are nothing if not passionate and determined. Although vocal - I think MMO players' passion make them more tolerant than they come off of in forum posts, which are usually made when people are upset.

There are, however, some pretty unforgiveable sins within operating an MMO and those are incorrect billings and wiping characters.
