Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Shouldn’t those who maxed alt skill lines receive crowns as reimbursement?

I just find it extremely sad that they went the way AGAIN by only going through peoples wallets. Its a dark path. Instead they could have made it for example.

Your main has the Skill Lines maxed. Every other character earns the points for them x2. so it would be double as fast to reach. Which sounds pretty good.
But always everything good is Money related these days.
It is not like we already payed for the basegame, the chapters and eso plus. No! They want all our money. That is what is sad. While they leave us with a buggy game for months at a time..

I'm a bit out of the loop here: is this selling skill lines in the sense they already do with the werewolf and vampire bites - where you pay to skip unlocking the skill line but still have to level it up? Or are they selling a fully levelled skill line so you can instantly start using the skills?

I don't get what they are talking about. Doesn't make any sense. Skyshards give you skill Points (not skill lines), so when one character finds all the skyshards in a zone - if you want - you can buy the shyshard achievement for another character. Whether or not it is a good idea, That is simple, and that works.

Skill lines is completely different. Are they selling access to a psijiic, or thieves guild, or dark brotherhood skill line - like when Thieves Guild opens up the first time you find a Thieves Guild box? If so, you still don't advance in the skill line until you start doing Thieves guild missions. So I can't see any reason anyone would want to buy the skill line.

You can't buy access to a completed skill line because, unlike skyshards, Leveling is involved. A level 25 does not get access to level 50 skills.

So I don't even know why they created the initial question. Seems like just a knee-jerk reaction to Zos selling skyshards.

The skill lines they are selling aren't dependent on character level. Each of the guild skill lines use unique requirements, what you are doing is skipping redoing those requirements. So yes you will be able to be rank 10 mages guild at level 3.

E: Now if each skill will be maxed out I doubt it, but nothing really preventing them from doing so.

They would still follow the skyshard pattern and require that a character on the account actually collect all the books (for Mage Guild as the example) before the player could buy the skill line for another character from the store. Quite frankly, the cost of buying a maxed out Mage or Fighter line, taking into consideration the Little amount that is used from either line, would be ridiculously high. You would not be getting much value for your money IMHO. Its the same reason I don't buy any skyshards, even though I have a number of zones that I qualify to buy them if I want.

It's Pay 2 Convenience (although when using that term on the BDO forms people say it's still p2w), and ESO's been that way forever. Crafting bag is almost a must and you can only get that by paying.
    PC/NA
Moved onto BDO and GW2 Skyrim, ATS/ETS2, ACNH and the overall goodness of single player games

    RIP to the following:
(DC) Tharbûrz gro-Glumgrog - Orsimer -Stamden (lvl 50)
(AD) Vukz - Bosmer - Stamblade (lvl 50)

First thank you all for posting in the thread

Second for all who are confused about the intent I point you back to the "/sarc off" tag.

Hopefully that resolves the confusion :)

It's becoming P2W but that's besides the point, you don't get anything out of it.
    Get over it. o:)

P2W is when something is exclusively sold in an online store that gives a person an advantage that can’t be gotten ingame. This is not pay to win. It is pay for convenience. Many of us have already lvled multiple toons with multiple skill lines so we probably won’t lose it. Stop being a petty jekosiit.

with your logic they might as well sell perfected trial sets I mean you can get it ingame so you might as well get it from the store right?

But you need to have already leveled the skill line wiyh atleast 1 character so you would need to have at least a full set of the perfected tral set to buy it again
